I was up early today, and the Dope was ok.
I took someone to lunch, and then went to work for an hour. Got home and cleaned the filters in the hot tub and did a little more work.
Just logged back in a few minutes ago.
I missed the outage, I guess, but I know what I was doing anyway!
It was exhausting: first I tuned up a couple of chisels, then mowed and edged the lawn, then washed/waxed the car and the RV, then reconnected the RV battery and started her up, then filled the RV water tank, then went to the bakery for a loaf and a croissant, then to the bank for some cash. After all that, The Dope still wasn’t up, so I just sat and did my David Putty thing.
I played some Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines; made a new Toreador character. I also visited another forum I frequent, and read some sci-fi.
I went to visit my aunt.
Saturdays are our farmers market/grocery shopping days, so I stayed busy throughout. Did have a moment of weakness and visit some other forums, but that only lasted for half an hour or so.
Drugs. Lotsa good drugs.
(just had some rather painful & elaborate surgery)
Sends good wishes for a fast recovery.
I cleaned the litter boxes and tormented cats. They suffered much more than I did. 
I had prior plans to take my cousins to Cirque du Soliel, so I was able to briefly distract myself from the horror.
Whatever they did, it was worth being down for a few hours - it’s like a new board.
I’ve never seen The Dope load this fast!

I took a nap and had a buncha people over for a fish fry. Fried catfish filets, fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, beer and mandarin orange cake. It all helped suffering through the pain.
I was finishing up my school assignments for the week. I didn’t even realize the Dope was down until I tried to procrastinate.
I had severe withdrawal. Skyped with my daughter, then went to the cantina. Glad it is back.
Spent the afternoon working in my garden (time to plant the sweet corn). Retired, tired and content, found the Dope back as usual. Good times.

I was out most of the day and didn’t know about it until late.
Did the rubberband break? Or did they need to feed the gerbil.
I got all-over nostalgic for every 1:30am from 2001 to, what, 2007?
…and then wept softly to myself because since I started my family I don’t have the opportunity to get anxious about the SDMB’s micro-outages anymore.
Okay, okay, I was with reddit. SOB
I watched Les Mis. Cried through some of it, fast-forwarded through some of it. I washed the two throw rugs that my elderly cat pees on. Hey, when I’m the equivalent of her age, I might forget where I’m supposed to pee, too. I checked the board 517 times on my kindlefire.
