According to the article, it was for a housewarming party, but the stores’ registries were not set up for “housewarming,” so they used the bridal registry. I’d always been under the impression that a housewarming gift should be bread and salt, or maybe a plant – a SMALL token. NOT $250 cookware or a $300 mixer. IMO, registering for “housewarming” gifts is the height of tacky. Which is probably why Mrs. Huckabee’s friends, who are apparently unknown to Mr. Huckabee, did it “for” her. Right. Ugh.
