I have downloaded and installed Miranda.

Then the system tells me tell me to fill in the blanks for

Server Name
Internet Address
SSL
Port range ____ --> ____

I know zilch about this stuff, so I joined their Message Board and asked for help on it. Haven’t heard, and in a couple of hours I’m off to Baltimore for a visit with family. Will have to resolve this when I return.

(The somewhat wry part of all this is that I don’t have any friends who use IM.)
