I want to sleep on flat wrinkle free sheets that don’t pull up from the corners. I have expensive sheets and have tried several things to fix this but I still end up with the corners pulled up and folds and cresses in the sheets that I end up on sleeping on. How can I fix this problem?
Make sure you buy ones that specify deep pockets. Many mattresses are thicker than mattresses used to be and sheets will pop off if the pockets aren’t deep.
We use sheet straps on our king bed. They hook to the sheets and hold the corners tight.
This is an example of one kind.
When I was a hospital candystriper in the 1970’s, we didn’t use fitted sheets: we tied the corners of flat sheets tightly together under the mattress at top and bottom. Kept them smooth and firmly attached even for bedbound patients who tossed and turned a lot.
Same story, same timeframe. And if you want sheets that are truly wrinkle-free, you need to iron them.
starch is a help.
