I’ve been posting for some time, not too much, but often enough to lose track of my favorite threads or threads where I have been posting. I remember in the past some message boards where I get a notification in the board (not in my email) that I posted in that thread and got new answers there. Is there a way to do this here? There are also threads where I do not post in but I want to be reading frequently, waiting for some interesting data.
I know I can search threads and post by my own name (Grousser) but that requires some more steps, rather than keeping a customized track, viewing the board with one quick sight. Got it?
Would you have in mind some developing of a system to do that, or is there a way to do this more efficiently? Thanks a lot.

Hmmm… I could have sworn I already replied to this… Anyway, I think the best way for the board is for you to bookmark your favorite threads. Mozilla and Netscape have a feature to bookmark a set of pages all at once that could come in handy; I imagine other browsers have something similar.
Down at the bottom of the thread is a url that says “Subscribe to this thread” Click on it - and whenever a new post appears, an e-mail message will be sent to you. Additionally, when you do post to a thread, check the little box at the bottom that says “E-mail Notification” before you submit.
What’s wrong with going to the “Search” box and doing a search under your own screen name? Gives you every thread you’ve posted to in a given span of time, and whether or not there are any new posts on them. Doesn’t even take a long time.
Oh! I forgot! If you look in your User CP, you can see all the threads you’ve subscribed to. This seems to be exactly what the OP is looking for, because you don’t have post to a thread to subscribe to it.
I haven’t tried it myself, though, so I’m not sure that it works.
Whenever you post to a thread or create a new one, underneath the post button are four options, one of which is email notificaton. Check that box. You will now get a email whenever a new post has been made in your subscribed thread and see it in your user CP. Similarily, you can click on a link at the bottom of the page that says subscribe to this thread. You will get the same result without having to post.
