How do I schedule album updates on Facebook?

I am managing a page on facebook, and we are going to post roughly 200 photos (3 per day). I could obviously post those photos manually, but that would be too much work. I could also schedule all the posts, but the problem is that I still have to set up the photos one by one. And I have 200 photos. I don’t want to schedule 200 posts. I could also make one post per day, but I would still have to schedule 67 posts manually, and copy and paste the hashtags on each and every photo.

Is there a way I could automate this process? It is quite straightforward: Select photo, paste description and hashtags (they are always the same), set up date and time and schedule the post. Rinse and repeat. 200 times. (or post 3 photos, &c). Oh, and those photos have to be posted on a specific album.

I really don’t want to do a task 200 times (or 67). It is a crazy amount of work, and I could spend that time doing something useful.

I’m having trouble wrapping my head around the idea that posting 3 photos a day manually is “too much work”.

An automation would take hours to set up and test (a large block of time that could be spent doing something more useful), compared to maybe a minute a day (a minuscule block of time that barely be noticed) for 67 days. Not worth it unless it was going to be an ongoing thing. It’s like driving 30 miles to the next town to save a penny a gallon on gas.

Maybe he has to do it from a phone and his has ibity bity touch keys??

But you posted what I first wondered also, from a computer, it is so easy, ‘the make an app/program to do this’ is way overkill. IMO

Maybe I don’t have all the information???

That is my first thought as well. I have friends (generally unfollowed now) that post more photos to Facebook every day for no real purpose without even breaking a sweat.

200 photos is very trivial especially when spread over that length of time. I am a developer and I wouldn’t even consider trying to develop an automated solution for that type of task because it wouldn’t be worth it in the least.

If it is that important, you could try to upload them all at once but make them inaccessible to anyone but yourself and then release a few of them a day to your intended audience by making them accessible again. I would have to experiment to see how that would play out but it might work OK depending on your needs. It still probably isn’t worth it though from a time standpoint.

Uploading 3 photos a day is about a trivial a task as there is.

I don’t blame OP for wanting to automate this, especially since it sounds like his business requires that photos be posted on specific days or times. What if he wants to go to the beach when an update is due?

And posting to Facebook is sometimes an aggravation out of proportion to seconds wasted. :stuck_out_tongue: For example, you need to remember a specific incantation to avoid every album change going out to Newsfeeds. (in fact — although this won’t help OP — I bypass much of the Facebook aggravation by placing images on a separate website and then just linking to them at Facebook.)

SOrry for the delay. So, yes, the posts are to be posted on specific times. I am not posting on my facebook profile, but on a page that I manage. My boss wants me to post those photos on specific times. I think I will have to do it one by one, but now I created a spreadsheet that will help me quite a lot. I have the dates and the 3 specific times (13:00, 18:30 and 22:00), and I numbered each photo bu 1-150 (and I have less photos now). so now I can keep track of which photos were posted already.
