How do I set up a birthday fundraiser on Facebook?

Here are the starting instructions I found when I searched for How do I set up a birthday fundraiser on Facebook?

    1. On your computer, login to Facebook.
    2. In the promotion in your Feed, either:
      • Select one of the nonprofits we’ve suggested

      • Type into the search bar to find a nonprofit

    3. Select the nonprofit you want to raise money for.

OK, I logged onto Facebook (Step 1). Now what? What is ‘In the promotion in your Feed’? I did a crtl+F on ‘promo’, and didn’t find anything. So there were no ‘suggestions’, nor a search box.

I don’t have time to try this right now, but
https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1312885435806356/ looks more useful.

Thank you. That was indeed a better link.

  1. From your Feed, click :magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Search Facebook in the left menu, type “fundraisers”, click  Fundraisers.

is what I needed to see. The instructions I found did not say where ‘in the promotion in your Feed’ is.

I’m glad it was useful.

Whenever I’ve had a birthday coming up, Facebook asks me if I want to set up a fundraiser in my main feed. That is probably what those instructions assumed was going on.

I usually just make a post and tag it @highlight and put my venmo link in there. I sometimes have 3-5 birthdays a year!

It turns out that I didn’t have to go out and create it. Something appeared in my feed just now to set up birthday donations, and I just chose the charity. (I chose Cats of San Bernardino, who do amazing work, with a goal of $200. I raised $101 for them last year.)

I tried to post a fundraiser from my other FB account, but I can’t see how to do it. :frowning:
