I made the terrible mistake of agreeing to load eFax onto my PC and now I get at least 2 or 3 SPAM faxes a day. You know, lower my mortgage interest rate or win a free trip to Acalpulco.
I use Yahoo! mail, and even though I diligently mark these as SPAM I continue to get them. I was hoping there was an easy way to uninstall eFax but it doesn’t show up on Add/Remove Programs list.
I’m running Win2K. Any thoughts on how I can remove this thing and stop the junk faxes from reaching my email box?
I created an efax account but when I realised they wanted me to install some software I abandoned it. Disabling the efax viewer software is the easy part (uninstall or delete it) but now you cannot stop efax from sending you the spam unless they want to. You’ll just have to filter all their emails as spam.
Well, maybe you can uninstall it from the control panel (preferable) but just deleting the program file or changing the name or extension will disable it but I don’t understand why you are so intent on this because that will not stop the spam emails from coming in. It will only prevent you from seeing them.
