How do you get comfy?

You’ve got no place to go and no visitors due. You get to relax at home. So, how do you dress?

My choice, especially this time of year, is sweatspants and either a baggy T-shirt or fleece pullover, with socks and slippers. If I’m unwinding after work, I might opt for sweatpants and my fuzzy robe and slippers. I’ve tried flannel pajama bottoms but it’s just not the same.

Bottom line: soft, non-constricting, warm. Bliss.

Slippers, pajama pants, shirt.

Liberal amounts of genital scratching.

Jeans and a hoodie usually. I have really long legs so pajama pants and sweats that fit right are extremely hard to come by. But the jeans I buy are usually already soft so they are comfortable enough to sleep in (except on a floor).

Yoga pants, a big old t-shirt. Depending on how cold my feet are either slipper or fuzzy socks, or nothing at all.

Curl up on the couch with a good book and a mug of tea (or my knitting and an interesting tv show). Bliss.

My red fleece robe. I never buy robes that have buttons, zippers, etc. Must be pullover, with long sleeves and side pockets.

Add couch, pillows, my huge rainbow afghan that my mom made for me when I was in high school, and dog or dogs at my feet.

Flannel jammie pants, oversized worn out cotton sweater, goofy foots (big knitted cotton sock thingies with leather soles stitched on,) huge comfy blankie over my lap, cats around neck, on lap or sitting on one arm, dog sleeping on feet, monster mug of fresh ground, fresh brewed coffee with raw sugar, cinnamon and heavy cream and a hard drive full of entertainment I could enjoy even more if I could get my SO to plug in the S-video and sound cables…

I need new goofy foots, though, my old ones are more hole than sock and the soles are only theoretically attached. Good excuse to hit the Saturday market!

You mean like I am right now? Sweatpants, tshirt, thick white cotton socks and my snuggly terrycloth robe. Oh how I love my robe! I stuck it in the dryer for a few minutes before puttin’ it on. It still feels dryer warm. MMMMM…

Depends on the time of year…

In winter, fleece lounge pants or comfortable sweat pants, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt, and socks.

In the spring or summer, lightweight lounge pants and t-shirt or tank top. No socks or slippers.

Then I like to snuggle up on my big snuggle chair, with a nice blanket and read a book or watch a good movie. If I haven’t read my paper, read the paper and do the crosswords.

In the morning, beverage of choice is several cups of good, rich, coffee. I don’t foo-foo mine up though.

In the evenings, water, green tea, or soda.

I am right now wearing an ankle-length dress I made of stretch cotton and knee-high socks. Perfect. If I were staying home tonight the only change would be a fleece blanket and mug of tea.

In summer, as little as possible. I hate summer.

Right now, shorts and a t-shirt even though it is the winter. For some reason my room is unnaturally warm but I am not complaining. Usually I will wear old sweats in the winter with a t-shirt but I am flexible. In the summer I go with shorts and a t-shirt. Barefoot every season.

Jeans that are loose at the knees, shirt tails out, shapeless old cardigan, and a meerschaum pipe.
But I can also relax after a gala night out by just taking off my cummerbund and adding the pipe.
I relax anywhere, any time like that.

Like Taters, my answer depends on the season: my preference is either shorts, lightweight knit pants, or pj bottoms paired with a t-shirt (usually whichever one I’m sleeping in), but so far this winter I’ve been wearing knit pants and sweatshirts. I also prefer going barefoot, but I have a nice new pair of slippers next to the couch in case of cold feet.

Snug-fitting T-shirt, usually just a plain black Hanes. In spring/summer/fall, gym shorts; in the winter, either pajama pants or track/warmup pants. Barefoot when possible, socks and slippers if it’s too cold for that. Blanket a definite must in the winter. Laptop isn’t just for surfing and posting, it’s a space heater too! Add a mug of hot chocolate or a glass of Maker’s Mark to taste.

Oh, definitely.

In winter - Mickey Mouse flannel pajama pants and either a tank top or a sweat shirt, depending on the temperature.

In summer - if the temp is above about 25 I just wear nothing. I get WAAAY too hot, so I just wander around neeked. If it’s cooler I might put on some terry cloth shorts and a tank top.

Bare feet?? Not for me - I don’t like walking around with blocks of ice on the ends of my legs. Even in summer, my feet get cold, so it’s socks and slippers all the way. I’m wondering about you bare feet people… :dubious:

I’ve got a pair of Everlast sweats that are just the right softness and length - so unless they’re dirty I wear those and a tshirt. If they’re dirty, I wear a different pair of sweats. I add a fuzzy (it’s a fleece lined flannel shirt that used to belong to my husband) and socks if it is cold.

Flannel or cotton PJ pants, long-sleeved T-shirt. Fleece throw for warmth, and down slippers.

During the spring, summer and fall, no slippers. I like bare feet except when there’s a chance that they will freeze over.

I don’t usually leave my feet bare just because it is the bare foot that steps on the sharp-enough-to-draw-blood stray piece of clay cat litter missed by the broom. I’ve got hardwood floors, too, and them suckers is cold. I usually wear knitted slipper-socks because they’ve got some traction. Above that, it’s jammie pants (I have dozens of pairs in everything from staid brown flannel to Wonder Woman prints), a tank top (usually of the shelf-bra type, just so I feel a little less like a shlub), and my big fuzzy robe. Then I get on the couch and turn on the tv, usually with at least two cats at my feet, a pile of unfinised crocheting in my lap, and a cup of coffee on the table beside me.

Wicky* pants! I love my wicky pants. I have a pair in flannel, a pair in thin cotton, a pair in stretchy knit, a pair in sweatshirt-weight fleece. My favourites are the blue flannel with penguins wearing toques and scarves, and the black with camisoles, panties, and bras printed on them. I pair them with a built-in-bra camisole.

*Wicky, aka Wicked Blue, was a poster here who hasn’t been around for a long time. The original Wicky pants had sock monkeys on them. They are the Holy Grail of wicky pants.

Definitely depends on the season. I think it’s harder to get comfy in the summer, but I usually just wear a pair of old shorts or lounge pants and a T-shirt or cami. No shoes in the summer. In the winter, I prefer flannel pants and a sweatshirt or fleece top. My favorite flannel pants are the gray ones with the kitties on them and the pink ribbon tie and trim that my mom gave me for Christmas last year. I also have big blue fuzzy slippers. Once I’m dressed, I then need the couch, a blanket, a book, a cat or two, and a Diet Dr. Pepper. Pure heaven.
