Just started playing this game last week (I’ve had it for a while but never fired it up), and was wondering if anyone knows how you move potions. I know you CAN move them, as I was watching a YouTube video where a guy was moving them around so that they would all be in one place and he could use them, but I can’t find the control to do it and when I’ve searched online I just can’t seem to find anyone explaining how you do it. It would be pretty useful, especially on endless mode, which is what I normally play.
Since that will probably be an easy question to answer (I assume I’m just missing something), let me ask if anyone plays the game for score or just play it for survival. I guess the key to score is doing these combos, where I think you basically have multiple traps hit the orcs, and the more traps the bigger the score you get. That seems too much like work when I’ve watched people doing this in videos though, so generally I just set up my defenses and see how long I can last. My scores are generally in the 500k to a million, while I watch these guys on Youtube and they are getting 16 million.
I’ve tried the E key…doesn’t work. In the video (I can link to one by this guy if you like, but I think you’ve seen what I’m talking about) he almost summons it to him or drags it somehow. I thought maybe it was the wind belt, but I’ve tried that and it doesn’t work.
I haven’t tried co-op yet, though one of the guys at my work has been asking. I’ve seen videos of it though, and what it looks like is each of you gets half the money to start off and through the game, so you can each put down about half the traps. You really need voice to play it, to me, as you need to coordinate how and what you are going to put down. I think each orc wave is also a lot heavier, but that is balanced by more firepower from two players.
My goal at this point is to try and get 5 skulls on each of the endless maps. Some of them are no trouble getting that far, but having some real challenges getting others beyond 4. I actually had to break down and watch some videos to figure out 2 maps that I couldn’t get past 3 on.
I really like this game…it makes you have to think about how the traps work and how the orcs react. Since you have a wide variety of traps it gives you a lot of flexibility with how you want to try and do each map, which to me is a lot of fun. I haven’t tried to optimize my score, as I said, as to me that’s too much work. If I get everything to 5 skulls though I might start trying to deliberately set up for combos, though it makes survival a lot harder from what I’ve seen on endless.
