At two Dopefests I’ve heard seasoned, battle-hardened mods say “Em pee sims,” so that’s good enough for me.

I work with more acronyms than you could make from a bowl of alphabet soup. I don’t ever say it, but I think of it in my head as “Mundane Pointless Stuff”, and would probably pronounce it M P SIMS if it ever came up.

Whoa. This is EXACTLY how I see it as well. For some reason it always becomes MSPMS in my brain. 
Am I the only person who says “em-psi-ems?” (psi as in the Greek letter, pronounced si). So “em-si-ems”, I suppose.

FTR, my prom photo would be all over the Web, but she was a bit of a butterface. I was actually kind of a player back then (not so much anymore), but she had a huge crush on me and I felt bad that she didn’t have a date, so I took her to prom.
The fact that I was clashing in white and black, though? That was my bad.

I have no idea where I get the extra syllables from, but I generally think em-pee-ess-isms. Kind of like, libertarianism, Judaism, etc., but with an abbreviated Mundane Personal Shit as the root. Why it’s plural? Because eye ham sofa…
