What, no sweet tea?! Water, I guess.
I’m very late on this thread, so I don’t know if you’re still serving. I would very much appreciate fried chicken, mashed potatoes, roasted corn, and apple pie a la mode, with whatever white wine you might have left. Normally I’d worry about calories, but I have a feeling none of this will go to my waist. May I volunteer to help do dishes? I wash cheerfully and well, and you must have quite a stack after all those orders.
By the way, would it kill you to offer a side salad or something else with some nutritional value that isn’t on the yellow-orange-brown color spectrum?
If those chickens could be from Uncle Lou’s in Memphis, I’d appreciate it. Corrupted, of course.
Fried, mashed, grilled on the cob, ice cream, and Coke. Might have gone for sweet tea if available, but Coke’s good, too.
Is dinner ready? I’m hungry.
Man, I’ve been thinking about this dinner way too much since posting.
You can have your chicken broiled or fried.
You can have your potato fried, baked or mashed.
You can have your corn whole, creamed or on the cobb(boiled, or roasted on the grill).
You can have apple pie, French vanilla ice cream or double up with a la mode.
Your drink will be milk, soda of choice, wine or beer of choice.
Fried chicken*, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, French vanilla ice cream, and Diet Coke (since you didn’t list coffee or iced tea).
*Yes, I’m a vegetarian, but how does anyone resist fried chicken skin?
