What are the parameters? Do they need to be hosted off site?

It doesn’t have to be offsite, it gets uploaded directly into the system. Pick something square that should also look good within a circle. Exact dimensions shouldn’t matter, but typically something in binary (256px, 512px, 1024px square) works best.
Go to your Profile > Preferences > Profile Picture to upload a picture of your choice.
Thank you both. I was able to select and upload a suitable picture. I had tried that before but I do not think the picture I was using was in the correct format
