I still live 5.64 miles from the hospital where I was born.
I can see the hospital I was born in from my front porch.
Approximately 1000? I am not sure, never having measured the distance. Born in Fla, live in northern IL. (but I do know that it is 987 miles from my front door to Boulder CO–but it’s irrelevant!). 
Right now about 450 miles SSE of where I was born.
But for three years I lived across the street from the hospital where I was born, and a few years after that I actually worked in that hospital for a year (but on a different floor.)
