According to Idlewild’s awesome site, I live 38 miles from where I was born. Make that 38 miles west. I spent most of my childhood living 38 miles east of where I was born.
There has to be something to that. Or maybe not.
Currently, 135.86 miles, using MapQuest driving directions.
My previous four residences was 110.31 miles, 113.82 miles, 3.06 miles, and 61.71 miles, in reverse temporal order.
Going to be hard to top that; the circumference of the Earth is a bit over 24,000 miles, so 12,000 is as far as you can get without deviating from great circle routes.
I am 1740 miles from where I was born.
I just moved here from a place that was 1205 miles from where I was born.
I doubt it, I am just waiting to see if anyone supplants the other four.

I live about 9 miles from St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield.

I live about 2 kilometers, or 1.25 miles, from where I was born. That’s as the roads go, as the crow flies would shave a little off that. I work right across the street from the hospital I was born in.

Spent the first 18 years ~5 miles from the hospital were I was born. Currently I’m about 195-200 miles from there. Compared to some of the other Dopers who have posted, I’m still in the parking lot of the hospital. 
I have been further away than this. Stationed for two years in Germany outside Oberuesal(sp?) in the Taunus(sp) mountains, near Frankfurt. Sure do miss all that good beer.
