Down 40 cents in three weeks here in mid NC. I just paid a $1.14 for regular down from 1.54 in late June. Is it the same where you are?
In my towm in rural Missouri, gas fell from about $1.35 to $1.11 in the period of about a week and a half. First it fell about 10 cents and then about 8 cents and then a penny a day for about a week. I think there may have been a gas war going on though because 4 days ago it went from $1.11 to $1.28 a gallon. 2 days ago it dropped to $1.21 though.
Here in Long Island, gas has dropped a whopping $.10 or so, down to about $1.67-$1.72.

Ugh. We don’t need another thread with everyone from every region commenting. Is there a source that reports by region? AAA perhaps?
I don’t get it. Gas prices where I live are between $1.54 and $1.61 for regular. Last Saturday my family drove up to Old Orchard, Maine, less than 50 miles away (abet another state) and their average price was 30 cents a gallon cheaper. So it can’t just be regional, the state has to have something to do with it too, right?
Gas is taxed fairly heavily. From state to state I imagine a certain amount of the difference is tax. not $0.30 though.
Here in northern Virginia, it’s dropped $0.20/gal in 2 weeks.
Great news for us delivery people.
Actually, they do vary by nearly that much. IIRC, the range is about .07 to .34. I did some research last year to see exactly where OK ranked when some friends were complaining about our $.20 tax rate. A google search should turn up a current table if anyone wants to take the time.
