Didn’t do as well as I’d hoped, since I adore color and partly work as a graphic designer. :frowning:

I’m quite surprised at that.

Female, 30s.

Score:8

There were a couple that I knew were wrong, but I couldn’t figure out how to make them right.

Male, 20

I got a 24

I am a male in my 20’s, scored 4.

My errors were in the blue-green area. It made me think of a “quarrel” I had with my girlfriend, regarding whether my house was green or blue. I claimed that it is green, while she claimed that it is blue. She tried to stop other people on the street to confirm her blue opinion, while I tried to stop her from embarassing me  Later we photographed the house to see what a higher end camera would say. It gave a slightly higher blue component than green, but only slightly so. Small enough to be caused by variations in sensor sensitivity. Who chose such a confusing color for my house? Maybe I should ask the landlord to paint it a less ambiguous color.

Also, I am quite sure that the monitor plays quite a big role. Even monitor settings can change the results quite a lot. Different monitors have very different color accuracy, and some cheap LCD panels use only a dithered 18-bit color depth instead of 24 (“true color”).

Female, 27 - scored 18. Took my time with it. The last two seemed more difficult.

I had the worst trouble with greens.

I got an 11, which I think is pretty good because I don’t think of myself as very good at that kind of thing.

40 and female by the way.

I scored an 8. I’m a woman and I turn 34 on the first of the month. I’m quite curious how my wife will score, as she is color blind. The far left side of the third bar seemed to give me the most trouble, but when I had looked at the last bar for awhile and then went back, it seemed much easier to see that I had actually gotten it right though it had been difficult originally. I suppose I had to cleanse my pallet, so to speak?

I scored 27 too.

I think I could have tweaked the pink to peach a bit more but I’m still happy about it.

Male 37

I got a 3.

I worked for years as a scenic artist matching color samples to designer drawings, so it was pretty easy. I felt like I could see a gradient across the individual squares that got better once they were in the right order.

I scored surprisingly well, with a 7. I’m a 31 year old male, and I’ve always thought I was somewhat colorblind. Now what am I supposed to tell people when they ask me what the hell I’m wearing?

Wow. I mean, I know that people like that exist, I just have never had to deal with them. I mean, is it really that important to be “right” about whether your house is blue or green? I am guessing it is aqua – pretty popular colour and ambiguous for some people. Quite often, I have to explain to people that while yes, the robin’s egg blue will co-ordinate with the aqua, it tends more towards the green and therefore, if they’re trying for the “Tiffany” wedding, they might want to avoid it – and maybe only 1 in 20 understand.

I hate people.

I spend a lot of time creating very complex and colorful graphs (2 & 3 dimensional) and many times I will use color as another dimension… Must have payed off.

Female, aged 48.

When I tried it on my laptop, I got an embarrassing score of 49. On my husband’s much better monitor, my score dropped to 16.

I’m inclined to believe that the difference was due to the quality of the monitors, because my main area of difficulty both times was the range where blue and green blend.

This is amusing to me, because I love to wear shades of turquoise. Fortunately, I tend to only wear one blue-green garment at a time. I do mix different shades of turquoise jewelry together. It looks okay to me; I hope I don’t appear all kinds of tacky to others.

I feel so… average. I also blame my crappy work laptop. And uhh… the sun was in my eyes and I was thinking about something else. Right.

According to the chart given with the results, all my errors were in the greens.
