Trump is far too narcissistic and in love with himself for that to happen. Absent mental illness, the only thing that would prompt this for someone in Trump’s position would be a sense of shame or soul-crushing failure. Trump is incapable of a sense of shame (or any self-reflection for that matter), and he will be in denial of any failure on his part to his dying day. It’s always someone else’s fault.
