I don’t rely on you to know which European countries are in Scandinavia, since your knowledge of the place is so clearly lacking, you ignorant buffoon. “Drab and lifeless” right back at you, old fart.
More to the point, which Scandinavian Doper said “plenty of people die under UHC too”?
And besides, his point about the Netherlands was also well into “not even wrong” territory. The Netherlands have legalized assisted suicide, but there’s a difference between “you’re too expensive to treat, here’s your cyanide pill” and “if you want to take your own life, the doctor is allowed to give you the necessary drug dose”. Even if he’s unable to comprehend that.
Basic health insurance is taken out with private companies, but it’s legally mandatory, and private insurance companies have no choice but to offer packages with certain basic features. Sound familiar? This has many of the same economic effects as single payer insurance, in terms of avoiding the more obvious market failures.
Long term care is actually government provided.
In a side note, the Dutch word for “care” is “Zorg,” which is wonderful.
Really? I could see that someone who would have scored, say, a 10 on the test wouldn’t benefit from practice. But someone who would have scored, say, a 26? And sure, there’s a couple of tests, but they’re 10 minute tests, and after taking them once you know where the problem areas are and can focus on just those questions.
I’m pretty sure a good dog trainer could train a dog to answer some of those questions–it shouldn’t be that hard to prep a president to score 4 points higher.
I’ve been wondering if someone in the Administration took the doctor aside and said 'if you don’t praise the President and his state of health, there’s an excellent chance that he will become so angry that he will use the nuclear codes. He simply cannot tolerate any criticism, and if you open the door to critics by failing to praise the President’s health sufficiently, he will deteriorate rapidly. For the sake of life on this planet, PLEASE say that he’s amazingly healthy and has no mental impairment.’
I’m not claiming to have any evidence of this. But it’s not impossible.
Looks to me like Trump’s running scared. Six months ago, he was interjecting god into his every public statement. Now (after having previously been in favor of it), he’s rabidly opposed to abortion rights.
Today is the first anniversary of his inauguration.
Dow is up 31%. Jobs are up. Unemployment is down. Taxes are being lowered. Action is being taken against illegal aliens (although not as fast as I would like). And liberals are still howling, whining and bitching about him being in office.
When the Dow and jobs were up and going up, and unemployment was down, and going down, and when you got a tax cut, but under the Obama administration, what was pissing you off then?
When Obama was deporting more undocumented immigrants than any other president in history, what pissed you of about that?
Conservatives spent 8 years howling, whining, and bitching about Obama being in office, did that piss you off any?
So, you approve of everything that trump does, even if is the same thing that pissed you off when Obama did it?
Lets not forget how he whines about the way Republican Presidents are treated. We’re supposed to treat them with awe and worship because they’re President and yet Obama…
