How has Former President Trump pissed you off today?

Fortunately, the First Lady is leading the fight against cyberbullying, so that should end just about any day now.

When Trump imagines it, the knife is sixteen inches long.

When in reality, it’s a mini spatula.

Lauren Hogg is curious about that, too.

I can’t tell if he’s threatening global annihilation or…what. But he says Phase 2 against North Korea has “all cards on the table,” and mentions playing “that card,” that it will be “very rough,” and “very, very unfortunate for the world.”

Holy mushroom clouds, Batman. I can’t believe this isn’t getting more attention. I’m pretty sure this level of nuclear war insinuation from an American president is unprecedented. I can’t believe an American president is even dancing around this as much as he is, and that this isn’t setting off major alarms with Congress, the media, human beings everywhere…

None so blind as those who will not see.

Just sending someone who doesn’t look like a Madame Tussaud escapee would be an improvement.

I think he is headline-grabbing, more distraction from the Russia investigation. Unfortunately, he’s doing it by waving a loaded gun (excuse the expression) at someone who’s almost as nuts as he is. That “almost” may save us. It’s a bad day when the North Korean guy is the saner one.

Emphasis added.

THAT’S the appeal to thump. “No other president has ever done this! I’m the first! I’m the best!” He wants to go where no president has gone before. I’d like him to go where the sun don’t shine.

It was bad enough when he was threatening N. Korea, now he’s threatening the whole fucking world? What is wrong with this asshole?

It’s possible that he could be referring to something short of Armageddon…in the sense that any failure of diplomacy diminishes all mankid. Maybe.

Let the mind-boggling continue.

I don’t think he understands what The Bomb can do at all. He probably thinks that he could drop a few on Kim Jong-Un(1) in the next couple of days while Ivanka is in Seoul and she wouldn’t even feel patchouli breezes.
1: with whom he’d have such a good relationship except when he’s busy insulting him, but why would anybody keep track?

““A teacher would have had the hell shot out of him before he knew what happened,””

FTFY

I don’t know that this needs it own thread, so I’m posting it here:

AP story:

I remember reading about trouble at this property before the election (residents/owners unhappy with Trump management, etc.) but it slipped off the radar quite a while ago and I had mostly forgotten about it. Now it seems to have blown up into something huge and nasty.

I wonder what records were being destroyed? And why is staying on as management for this property so important to Trumps?

He is, actually.

On his head.

This idea is so stupid and cartoonish it could almost work re: NK.

What if Kim praised Trump like Duterte does? Went on and on about how smart and capable he was? Threw in a nod to the great electoral victory? If Kim flattered Trump, Trump might actually stop waving that metaphorical loaded gun around. It doesn’t stop the problem long-term and Kim probably wouldn’t do anything like that, but it’s weirdly a solution that might just dial everyone back just that little bit. I’m not saying we should necessarily give concessions or that Trump and Kim are going to solve this decades-old issue by flattering each other, but appeasement for temporary de-escalation isn’t the worst idea ever. Especially with these two. What shouldn’t work might actually work.

Thanks for posting this. That’s hilarious. The Trump building is the tallest one in Panama City and I hate having to see it every day. It would be great if he lost control.

From the Panama story:

The whole thing is the kind of story that if you saw it in a movie you’d wonder what had the writers’ happy pills been cut with. I think Guillermo del Toro would be able to film it right.

He’s either threatening a nuclear attack or a second term.

Do we really need to choose one?
