My local news showed some scenes from the inauguration, which I didn’t watch. They showed Hillary putting on a brave face, during what must have been torture for her. They showed her extending her hand to Pence, and Pence just walking right past her. Class.
I just listened to his speech as a result of reading your post, and I didn’t find his speech angry or dictatoresque. Populist and nationalist, for sure, but in fact, given the audience he seeks, I found it quite good and collected.

He, or someone responsible for his PR, put up a photo of joyful crowds at Obama’s 2009 inauguration on the POTUS Twitter account, and then removed it after somebody noticed the con.
It’s a very minor thing, but irritating on a par with showing stacks of brand-new folders and paper as his alleged legal paperwork at the press conference, or posing at a receptionist’s desk for a photo of him allegedly working on his speech.
Like, either he simply can’t tell the difference between a superficial impression and reality, or he just figures we’re all too dumb to notice.
