I am FUMING at this! I’ve been working on things to do with breastfeeding, and heard the radio this morning quoting some in the milk bank community I know on this. I cannot believe that a.) Trump did this, and b.) that there isn’t more resistance from within. For cryin’ out loud – Trump can’t stop breastfeeding or break up families at the border himself. There are too many people unwilling to take a principled stand against things that are obviously wrong.

I doubt that trump has been stewing about the ‘poor’ plight of these ranchers. Someone brought it to his attention, and I’ll bet dollars to donuts that someone will be making a campaign contribution.
Or perhaps it is just to garner votes from the assholes that support these yahoos. But I very much doubt he came up with this all by his lonesome.

Yes, the pardons will please the Bundy wing.
They also send a very important message. Trump would benefit greatly if some gub’ment-hating person or persons committed crimes that would remove Robert Mueller, or others important in ongoing investigations of Trump (at the state as well as federal levels).
These new pardons tell such persons that they could very well hope for a pardon from their grateful President.
Wonder if Mueller has at least a few FBI guys tag along with him. Better than nothing.
He’s a former US Attorney, former Deputy USAG, and former FBI director. If he doesn’t already have a personal security protocol established (bodyguards, undercarriage check, etc) I’d be very surprised.
