How has Former President Trump pissed you off today?

Link?

If Obama had done even half the things that Trump has done, a GOP House would’ve impeached him long before the midterms.

If Obama had done even 1 of the things that Trump has done, this would be true.

Looks like his latest budget proposal today is just what we’d expect: Red meat for his base, and a middle finger for everyone else.

The base won’t be so happy when their Medicare gets cut, though.

Thanks Obama!

<checks> still breathing, still tweating idiocies. Y’all seen this one?

Near as I can figure out, he’s talking about the Republican senators not voting for the bill preventing him from using an emergency declaration to fund “the Wall”. I think. Because it sounds to me like he’s telling them it doesn’t matter what the precedents are or what the Constitution says, they should vote to let him do what he wants.

And if that’s what he is saying, I may need to start seeing a therapist again. I don’t WANT to be able to interpret him!!!

You all remember that famous quote: When facism comes to America it will be [del]wrapped in[/del] aggressively hugging the flag and [del]carrying a cross[/del] autographing Bibles.

Parsing that made me twitch, but I think he’s claiming that 80% are in favour of Trump-Wall ™.

80% of whom, I am unsure.

ETA: And given that level of approval the end justifies any means.

That’s exactly what he’s saying - it’s what he has been saying, and it’s what his supporters in congress have been saying along with him. As I’ve been saying, the republican party is moving this country in the direction of authoritarianism, and the way you achieve that is to obstruct, disrupt, and replace democratic norms with autocratic norms. The republicans may have lost the house, but they can use whatever power they have to undermine confidence in the normal political process, which is what they want. They don’t want government to work, especially if they don’t control the government. They want people to assume that they’re on their own and that government can’t help them anyway. It’s the exact opposite of the message of people like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and other democrats, which is that government can help you. The republicans believe that if they can succeed in turning the government into a joke, then they win. The real power grabs come later.

In the meantime, they’ll settle for changing the senate’s centuries old traditions of acting as a check on presidential power and give the senate majority leader the nuclear option on appointments.

Humping the flag, and autographing bibles and boobs.

80% of knuckle-dragging sister-fuckers.

By his own admission, he loves to create strife between various parties and entertains himself by doing so. That is the very definition of “troll”.

I suppose you’re right. I just think he’s too stupid to do it deliberately. It’s just that what ever he’s involved in, or when ever he’s around, the shit hits the fan.

I think he does it deliberately, but not mindfully with intelligence. IOW, he just blindly lashes out, the way a big, dumb bully throws a punch when he feels threatened, not the way a trained, professional boxer throws a punch. He lobs a bomb into a lobby full of critics reflexively in a defensive fit of temper. He doesn’t set charges methodically around a building, calculating how he can make it come down. He would be a million times more destructive if he were smart and/or if he still had any functioning brainpower. He seems to have lost even what “normal” intelligence he had as a young man, judging by the deterioration of his language. He does love chaos, probably because when there’s confusion and uncertainty around him, it temporarily makes him feel smart.

He is simultaneously our oldest and least mature President, and that’s a terrible combination.

Don’t knock it. Those autographed bibles are selling for $325.

If that doesn’t kill your faith in god I don’t know what will.

Ebay was my first thought when I heard about the bible signing

It depends on which version you worship.

Hmmm, so going exchange rate is just over $10 for a silver coin, good to know.
