Good theory, except that making those judgments on the fly would require about a googolplex times the brainpower* Trump actually has.

Somewhat minor. I saw a clip of one of the task force briefings and the narrator pointed out that Trump tends to stand directly in front of the screen that the doctors are showing data on, basically blocking it from audience view. So clueless :smack: or maybe he’s got something to hide. :eek:
Trump’s currently promoting the unproven malarial drugs at today’s briefing. One cable talking head speculated Trump’s actually doing this to basically dupe people, especially his base, into thinking he’s trying to provide medicine for them to “save lives”. Also, Fauci was supposedly there but hasn’t been on stage yet. Trump’s probably not happy with Fauci poo-pooing Trump’s lies.
Fauci was there and when asked about the malarial drugs and Trump wouldn’t let him answer. Trump has to have some sort of agenda with these drugs. Trump must have said “What do you have to lose?” half a dozen times about the drugs. Trump also kept saying they’re perfectly safe, but they do have known side effects. Maybe Kushner owns stock in a manufacturer.
I’m angry that Trump is pushing an unproven drug so hard. If he were anyone else, I’d allow my hopes to get up. But he’s Trump. Trump is a liar. Everything he pushes always turns out to be shit.

What do we have to lose? Well, there are quite a few people who require those same drugs to stay alive, and they’re having trouble getting their prescriptions filled because of idiocy like this.
He’s getting them wholesale from Putin. Or he’s branding them. Soon Pence will refer to them as Team Trump’s Cure, or something close. He wants fame. He most likely promised 200 million of his own dollars to the manufacturer (which he won’t invest but will promise to)
