Shakespeare did create some pretty awful people. But are any of them as monstrous as Trump? Even the bake-people-in-pies-and-feed-them-to-their-relatives ones? I mean, action-wise, some were more violent than Trump*. But can any Shakespeare character match him for sheer mental disorder and viciousness?
(Sounds like the topic for academic works and conferences for decades to come…)
Friend of mine told me yesterday that his son, who’s in his 30s, believes the orange clown’s nonsense and is repeatedly telling my friend, “I don’t believe in the corona virus; it’s all a hoax to make Trump look bad”.
Inaction on the part of a leader is one thing, but the nonsense that the clown-in-chief throws out is causing actual harm. The cabinet needs to hold an intervention with that jackass, telling him that one more lie or one more stupid comment from him and they’ll certify he’s mentally unfit for office, and fukcing follow through!
As I’ve said before, I want him very much alive and sitting in prison, contemplating how that descent on an escalator so may years ago led to some good times and even graft on a bigger scale than he had done before, but it inevitably threw a big spotlight on his activities and ultimately led to his downfall.
I know you probably can’t answer this, but what do folks like him say about the 200,000+ people who have DIED all over the world, some of them in countries that have never heard of trump? Or are the deaths a media hoax like the moon landings?
Good luck with that. Congress still hasn’t even been able to look at his tax returns, even though the law clearly says they can. And I don’t think we can count on Brett Kavanaugh for help.
Those who have the gold, make the rules. And then they ignore the rules if they are inconvenient.
Anyone hoping for a 25th amendment solution is delusional. Same with another round of impeachment.
DeVos, Munchkin, Sleepy, and Dopey would never betray their meal ticket. Most of the rest are “acting” which Trump lawyers would argue cannot vote. Supreme court is feckless. Moscow Mitch controls the stooges in the Senate.
Voter suppression will become rampant and when/if polls show an upcoming disaster; look for an attempt to delay/defray the election. [rampant paranoia off]
At Illinois governor Pritzker’s briefing today someone asked if he feared that his criticism of Trump would result in a lack of federal aid. He referenced that tweet and pointed out that unlike Mitch McConnel’s state, Illinois pays more into the federal system than we take from it.
