How has Former President Trump pissed you off today?

I would like to point out that my home state has a balanced budget and a huge rainy-day fund (and is a net donor to the federal budget, not a beneficiary); one of the lowest COVID infection rates; and a governor proceeding cautiously and sensibly and driven by science and data. And he’s a Democrat.

I think you just won the thread.

Yeah, but none of that counts, 'cause it’s… you know… California. 'Nuff said.

The 25th wasn’t put in as an alternative to the impeachment process.

It was put in because after JFK’s assassination, people started thinking : «What if Oswald hadn’t been such a good shot? What if he’d only winged JFK’s head, resulting in permanent coma?»

It’s worked well for that purpose, when Reagan was shot and again when he was undergoing surgery for polyps. Bush was Acting President both times under the 25th.

Despite Alex Haig’s coup attempt.

The 25th Amendment wasn’t invoked after Reagan was shot. It wasn’t explicitly invoked when he later underwent cancer surgery, either, although it was to all intents and purposes. It was explicitly invoked twice when George W. Bush underwent surgery.

I have direct deposit, but still got to see his shit signature, because the IRS and Trump sent a letter telling me about the stimulus, and how he was proud to have signed the legislation.

It’s not his signature. His name is in the memo line. But you will get a lovely letter from him with his signature letting you know that you should feel beholden to him.

Trump says he ‘can’t imagine why’ there was a spike in calls to emergency hotlines in several states after he ‘sarcastically’ mused about injecting disinfectant to cure the coronavirus: Trump says he 'can't imagine why' there was a spike in calls to emergency hotlines in several states after he 'sarcastically' mused about injecting disinfectant to cure the coronavirus

My wife and I were talking the other day and Ashe said that although she thought Trump would be a disaster, she never imagined he’d be this bad; I gotta say, this is about what I expected.

They phase out, allow the Democrats to take over the Presidency, and then scream like maniacs about fiscal responsibility and the Democrats need to fix all the mess.

And then, they get a majority in the government again, and spend money like water while sheltering the wealthy and corporations.

And then, they get voted out again and scream like maniacs about fiscal responsibility while the Democrats fix all the mess. Lather, rinse, repeat.

The Coronavirus, however, has thrown a bit of a monkey wrench into things. I look forward to seeing if this pattern can continue.

Mail came today. Consisted of a sales flyer and two letters for the wife and I from the Internal Revenue Service.

Inside, I found my Personal Form Letter from Donald J. Trump, in which he explains to me how proud and happy he is to have signed the legislation that sent me a fraction of the money I would need to survive if I had lost my job.

Since I paid taxes last year, basically, what happened is that he sent me a campaign letter… at my own expense. But, hey, free money! That I will have to pay back with my taxes!

Thanks a lot, Comrade.

Sometimes I think Darth Cheeto actually wants a shooting war with China: https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/30/politics/trump-intelligence-community-china-coronavirus-origins/index.html

Distraction, gut feeling, hunch, indigestion, who knows what will kick in.

Anything to distract.

(Trump takes to twitter thread still around?)

Rememeber Mike Flynn? Sorry for bringing him up, but, well, президент Trump did. Still likes the guy.

Barf emoji.

How frequently do people who confess get exonerated?

You know that’s what the jerk in the White House is hoping for, don’t you, for himself?

His new press secretary pledged never to lie to the White House press corps, and, within minutes, proceeded to (wait for it…!) do just that: Fact check: New White House press secretary makes false claims in first briefing | CNN Politics
