How has Former President Trump pissed you off today?

And the comments in news reports about it have all the QACrazies saying, “Hell, no, why is he letting us down like this?”

The NAACP is suing Individual 1 in federal court. They sent copies of the lawsuit to Mar a Lago, at which point they disappeared. Somebody named “Ricky” signed for them, but the Individual 1 team claim they have no idea who Ricky is.

Ricky? Must be Melania’s pool boy.

Not sure where to post this…

The Post reports that Florida Republicans are preparing to submit a bill that would allow developers to transfer gambling licenses to areas that have normally prohibited gambling and would also block local governments from intervening. The state currently limits gambling to mostly tribal areas and horse racing properties.

My bold.

“Blocking governments” – that’s what Republicans do.

The Post notes that before running for president, Donald Trump spent several years lobbying for Florida lawmakers to approve new casino licenses.

“I think gambling is a good thing for Miami," the former president once said to the Miami Herald.

Donald Trump famously opened a casino in Atlantic City that ended in bankruptcy in the '90s. The building once known as the Trump Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City was demolished in February.

My bold.

Sure. Great idea. Go right ahead.

“This guy has bankrupted every casino he’s ever run. How do you bankrupt a casino?” he [Florida Rep. Joseph Geller (D)] said to The Post.

Well, if anyone can do it, Donnie can!

Seriously, you can’t make this shit up.

Maybe he will make it work this time.

I’m picturing a casino where the house always wins, not just in the long run but every single hand of every single game, every roll of the dice, every play of every slot machine. The games are so rigged they literally have never paid anyone anything.

But every now and then a dealer will say “you won, sir!” to a player or a slot machine will activate a big flashing neon sign that says “YOU WON”. Casino employees in suits will congratulate the player. Everyone will cheer about winning! But no money changes hands, Trump keeps it all.

Sometimes they will offer to give the “winner” a hotel suite, as long as they pay the going rate- and a table in the finest restaurant, where they will pay full price for a meal. These Trump “high roller” perks will be available to any player that buys the inner circle membership.

The $99.95 a month inner circle membership doesn’t entitle anyone to anything, but you get a card with Trump’s picture on it that you can show your friends.

And his moron fanatics would flock to his grift palace and gladly loose everything they have. And they’d still believe Trump when he told them his casino wasn’t rigged.

Trump is going to do everything possible to grift as much as he can from his supporters. I’m thinking he will build Trump branded housing developments - where the houses are extra-shoddy and cost twice as much as decently constructed homes in outside of Trumplandia or Trump Meadows.

This is brilliant.

One modification: the casino promises to pay the “winner” in two weeks.

This is a classic example of a stopped clock situation. Its one of those rare instances where good policy happened by chance to intersect with Trump’s self interest. The only thing that Trump has to show for his handling of the Covid crisis is that he got a vaccine completed on his watch, as far as he is concerned its his vaccine. So if people think its ineffective or dangerous, it reflects poorly on him. If Biden had been president when it was developed, he would be telling people that the vaccine will turn them gay.

It also shows you the caliber of thought exercised by his supporters and former supporters. A number of them are upset with him now for saying that the virus is real, that it’s deadly, and that people should get vaccinated. They did not support him because they believed he would be a good president. They supported him because he mouthed the same prejudices they hold to.

Probably the same person that lost Steely Dan’s number too.

Isn’t Ricky the bandleader at the Mar-a-Lago’s Tropicana Ballroom? The guy plays a mean conga.

“For de laaast time, Donnie, you CAN’T be in the show!”

“But, Riiickeeeee…”

Sounds like yet another of John Barron’s aliases.

Melania’s got a lotta ‘splainin’ to do.

Now I got an earworm in my head

Donnie can
Donnie can
Does anything an asshole can

In Nevada the law is a casino has to have on hand enough cash on hand to pay off any one bet made.* When I was in Carson City one casino on the skids had a $50,000 keno winner one Saturday evening and had to make good on it with a check on Monday morning. They got in BIG trouble with the gaming commission, had to pay some hefty fines, and closed the doors about three months later.

*An exception is made for wide-area progressives where the payoff can reach hundreds of millions.

Like trumpy would abide by a law like that?

If he would have, do you think he would have been satisfied with only one casino, in Atlantic City?

Why run just one casino into the ground when you can run two?

I thought he had 4?

More like “encouraging” them. He’s already taking flak for his lukewarm endorsement.
