How has Former President Trump pissed you off today?

“My gorge rises.”

My coffee sprays.

What if she had hauled off and busted him in the chops with a good right cross? Totally legal and legit, right? Resisting unwanted and unwelcome advances? Woman of the Year, Goddess of the Month!

The witnesses before his voting commission in New Hampshire certainly reflect the remarkable diversity of this great republic: http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/12/politics/trump-voting-commission-all-white-men/index.html

Big surprise: Trump’s inaugural committee still hasn’t donated anything to charity, despite promising to do so: Despite pledge, Trump inaugural fund has yet to donate to charity - CBS News

To be fair, New Hampshire is occupied exclusively by white men. The ladies have to cross the border and bunk in Vermont every night.

One thing that hit me during the Trump speech to the UN.

Trump talked about seeing Iran great again, as in not supporting terrorism. Trouble is that I think that many like Trump saw Iran as being “great” when the Shah was the ruler…

One can make the point that the current state is a bad one; but besides using torture and arresting/killing political enemies, the Shah’s regime also allowed so much corruption that it gave a good reason for the radicals to remove the Shah in the 70’s leading to many disasters to follow.

Just sent this to the Civil War Trust about Trump’s pledge for battlefield preservation:

*Thank you for your August 23, 2017 letter about President Trump pledging to donate part of his salary to battlefield preservation, and asking me to write a thank-you note to him.

I must admit I am skeptical of his offer, since his proposed Federal budget would cut the 2018 budget of the Interior Department, which runs the National Park Service, by more than $1.5 billion, a reduction of 10.9% from the current year. See “Trump’s first paycheck to fund restoration projects at Antietam battlefield,” CNN.com (July 5, 2017), and “Trump proposes sharp cuts at Interior Department while pushing for more drilling on public lands,” WashingtonPost.com (May 23, 2017). Donating one-quarter of his presidential salary for this year, a little over $78,000, is just a drop in the bucket by comparison.

The President also has a bad habit of making promises of charitable donations, and then not following through. See “Despite pledge, Trump inaugural fund has yet to donate to charity,” CBSNews.com (September 15, 2017) and “Donald Trump’s Charitable Giving Claims Look Like A Sham,” VanityFair.com (June 28, 2016).

I will continue to support the Civil War Trust, of course, as I have for many years, but I respectfully decline to join in your effort to thank the President for his cynical and hollow gesture.

Very truly yours,*

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Trust received similar sentiments from many others (though perhaps not as well-written as yours).

Here’s hoping!

On the other hand,

if it is a deal where you match what Chump actually really donates, your “total owed” will be ZERO.

There is that.

GOP public approval ratings have dropped to a record low, so they’ve got that goin’ for them: http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/24/politics/cnn-poll-republican-party-approval/index.html

That poll is terrifying. 79% of Republicans think Trump is taking the party in the right direction? Holy crap, the USA is completely screwed.

Trump isn’t leading chants of “lock him up” in relation to his son-in-law using a private E-mail server for government business. Now why do you suppose he’s not leading that chant?

Did he ever lead chants? Couldn’t stand to watch much, but it always seemed to me he took his lead from the audience, rather than other way round.

Distinction without a difference. Kind of like comparing a puddle of cow diarrhea and Trump.

Not exactly leading a chant, but he did tell Clinton during a debate that she “would be in jail” yadda yadda Trump bullshit bluster lies.

I would like to find a transcript of today’s press conference…but if I read the TV captions correctly, he defended his administration’s efforts in Puerto Rico by saying that he was receiving “great reviews” from the people there.

Reviews.

He apparently reads Variety to find out how he’s doing.

Given the (apparent) dire state of communications In Puerto Rico, how are these “great reviews” getting to him? By messages in bottles?

I imagine those great reviews are of a piece with all the phone calls he gets from never-identified people, telling him how great he’s doing on one thing or another.
