How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

Individual 1 is calling for the “impeachment” of Mitch McConnell. Which, of course, isn’t a thing.

(Not that that would piss me off …)

Just as conversant with the Constitution as the day he swore to preserve, protect and defend it.

The NYT reported today that it appears that the Fuckwad in Chief will likely announce for 2024 soon after the primaries are over. Gotta get that money rolling in early, I guess, and I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if he pulls the rug out from under all his donors late in the game and runs with the cash.

I’m surprised he didn’t announce before the election, but maybe he was worried that the election would turn into a referendum on him, and he would lose.

He better get a move on. The general is in less than a week.

Former President Donald Trump is leaning toward announcing a third run for the White House, possibly as early as the week of Nov. 14, sources with direct knowledge of the matter told ABC News.

He’s trying to stay out of prison. And going to steal money to do so. What a world.

Absolutely. This way is win-win for him. Republicans do well? “It was all because I dropped that hint”. They do badly? “Well I hadn’t officially announced anything yet”.

Yeah, that.

Homeland Security report says that they created fake documents linking Portland anti-racism protesters with an alleged terrorist attack in order to make Individual 1 look good ahead of the 2020 election.

Here’s a PBS piece on the same topic:

It’s a bit more cautious than the Yahoo piece, but does make clear that one of Trump’s “acting” appointees was pushing for the change in usual DHS procedures (to create a result that would help Trump).

It looks like a template for the next decade, when Republicans will use the apparatus of the state to round up political opponents, label them “terrorists” and jail them.

I honestly don’t have much hope for the future.

I’ve heard the RNC said they would no longer pay his legal bills if he announced before the election. But I thought I read that once he announced, that would limit what he could do with PAC money. Right now, he can do whatever he wants. I assumed he would tease it as long as possible.

I think DJT has proved that he can do whatever he wants with whatever he wants for as long as he wants with absolutely no adverse consequences. I doubt if any actual money changes hands, physically, virtually, or electronically. He just incurs expenses and then ignores them.

How does it actually work? Is there anything to stop Trump other than misuse of PAC money being illegal? Because something being illegal won’t stop Trump from doing it. He’ll just say he needs to do it that way because the Democrats are trying to cheat or et cetera.

When does someone officially become a candidate subject to campaign funding laws? Upon some sort of public declaration? Or qualifying for the ballot in the first primary? Or something else?

An individual running for the House, Senate or President becomes a candidate when they raises or spends more than $5,000 in contributions or expenditures. Candidates must register using a Statement of Candidacy (Form 2) within 15 days after becoming a candidate. A candidate, including an incumbent, must file a Statement of Candidacy for each election cycle in which they are a candidate.

He should already be considered a candidate because he’s been holding these rallies on a regular basis for what seems like forever. He can say he’s holding them for midterm candidates, but come on. He mostly talks about himself and all the ways his presidency was the best ever and how mistreated he was yada yada yada.

Did y’all catch that clip of him recently at a rally telling people that sometimes you have bad kids and you should toss them out? I wonder what that was about. Maybe he’s getting ready to jettison one of his children. He seemed to be testing a new riff, but the audience didn’t laugh or cheer.

Maybe he believes one of them told the FBI about all those documents in Mar-a-Lago. Or is willing to cooperate with the NY AG case. Or…

Or isn’t willing to throw himself or herself under the bus for him as all these investigations gather momentum. “How sharper than a serpent’s tooth…”
