I’m not sure how “cunt” goes over in tbe USA. It is pretty common as an endearing insult in my circle of friends, to recognise that the person receiving the insult is an equal (we have way worse insults, Afrikaans is like the ninja of hard core insults - one can be translated as “you are lower than a snake’s shit’s shadow”). I think it is often used in Scotland the same way as we do.
I’d never use it on a woman, though, it is more a male friend thing.
I assume that given how fucking crass Trump is, the word is on equal to the worst of the worst, given the fact that even he could not just say it

And in the “What? He said he’s kidding? Yeah, right.” we have this bullshit from Tan the Conman:
During an interview aired Sunday, Fox News host Maria Bartiromo gave former President Donald Trump a chance to explain away his remarks in a December town hall that he’d only be a dictator on “day one.”
Trump brushed it off: “It was with Sean Hannity, and we were having fun, and I said ‘I’m going to be a dictator,’ because he asked me, ‘Are you really going to be a dictator?’ I said ‘Absolutely, I’m going to be a dictator for one day.’”
Look. Has anyone ever heard an actual joke from this one individual? The only times he’s ever stated he was joking was when his asinine comments have gotten so much blowback that it’s obvious even to this one individual how harmful to him they have been.
And let’s face facts, the proof he wants to be dictator was trotted out for the whole world to see on January 6, 2021. Yeah, thatere was all kinds of humor that day, wasn’t there?
It just reminds me of this.
“You wouldn’t like me if I was elected.”
Oh, I could believe that Trump was joking about this, to the extent that he is capable of joking about anything. Of course, a president who jokes about being a dictator isn’t exactly a good thing.
The rule is, never believe anything Trump says about the future, one way or the other. He’ll be evil, but we won’t know the specifics until they happen.
I think the scariest part of Trump’s dictator comments are not that he said it but the way he is using a particular definition to make the crowd cheer for him. To Trump, “dictator on day one” is defined as drill baby, drill and build the wall. You don’t need to be a dictator to do those things. Those are not problems that would benefit from a dictator giving orders. Drilling and wall building are logistical problems that take time, manpower and money, not sheer force of will and disregarding of regulations. But when Trump says he’s going to use dictator powers to solve these problems, the crowd cheers loudly. They want him to be a dictator from day one and they want him to keep going. The cheering establishes a mandate where “dictator” isn’t a dirty word anymore. A dictator is just what it is going to take to make America great again.
But notice that in giving this response, Trump isn’t answering the question that was actually being asked. The question was more along the lines of “are you going to use (or misuse) Presidential authority against your political opponents?” The answer is yes, of course yes (because Trump thinks that is what Biden is doing to him right now and will not matter if every investigator in a second Trump administration clears Biden of any and all wrongdoing) but this does not fall under Trump’s definition of what a dictator is. This is just the normal way of doing business and there is nothing wrong with it so why does the media keep asking about it?
Have you noticed that Trump has repeated that dictator statement a number of times. I mean, when he said it on Hannity, the first thing he did was turn to the camera and retell the story – “Get him, he asked me if I’m going to be a dictator and I told him only on day one.” Yeah, we were all right here three seconds ago when you said it.
And again here, he didn’t just say, “ah, just joking”, or try to rationalize the statement, he just repeated the story … again.
Fucko, we know what you said, we want to know what you meant!
Change that to “You wouldn’t like me if I’m not elected.”
TRUMP: What Biden is doing to me is illegal!
ALSO TRUMP: Nothing a President does is illegal.
Might as well truncate it to “You wouldn’t like me.”
The only thing he’d be right about.
Because Biden isn’t POTUS, remember? Trump won the election.
At which point it’ll be too late. Preventative prophylaxis is the best course of action.

ISTR a couple of occasions when Tan the Conman (accidentally) admitted Biden (a) won the election, and (b) Biden is, in fact, president of the United States of America.
I wasn’t just referring to what he would do as president. If he loses the election, he’ll be an evil private citizen; If he’s convicted of a crime and sent to prison, he’ll be an evil convict, etc.
That’s supposed to be my line.
I believe in the storytelling profession, they call it ‘seeding’ (most people know it as foreshadowing). He did it with the ‘stolen election’ rubbish a few months prior to the 2020 vote, so it becomes ingrained in the MAGA-crowd’s, erm, brains (such as they are). If he repeats the idea that he is dictator enough they will be used to the idea before it actually happens.
