The King James version is in the public domain, whereas modern translations are under copyright. The Trumpists would have had to (gasp!) PAY to sell copies of the Revised Standard or Good News and most other newer versions:

Haven’t seen this posted anywhere else and this seemed the most appropriate thread for it. A lot of people seem to be curious about where these bibles are coming from and how this deal came together. I went looking for more information this morning and found the below article.
The upshot of the article seems to be that this Bible was originally supposed to be printed in 2021 by Greenwood himself. Apparently the deal fell through with Harpercollins and was supposed to use the NIV translation. Which apparently Harper Collins owns if I’m reading the article correctly. The reason for the fallout is currently unknown.
What I also found interesting is that no one seems to know exactly who’s printing these books now. There’s no publisher on record according to the news article and no one has come forward to say how this is being done. Or who’s footing the bill, cuz God knows it ain’t Trump.

The parts about the sermon on the mount, turning the other cheek, good samaritan and the other Woke parts will be removed, and there will be a part where Jesus preaches about the 2nd amendment. Plus a whole new Book of Trump, where he is anointed by God.
