How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

Donald Trump knows no fury like Thelma Lou scorned

Still bitching.

I must have missed the part of the Constitution that says candidates for President are special snowflakes.

And anyway, he’s not the candidate YET.

Lol! Don’t confuse him, he’s one of the few people who’ve ever gotten it right! (Needscoffee’s Law: Don’t ever use “whom” unless you’re an English major or editor, and even then, you’ll get it wrong 50% of the time.)

To continue the hijack: When my mm worked for an FBO at MYF, one of the pilots who came in was known for asking, ‘Whom? I?’ She called him ‘Old Whom-I’.

Yes, he is. He’s just not officially the nominee.

Please translate.

FBO = Fixed Base Operator; a flight school/airplane rental/etc. business.
MYF = Montgomery Field, San Diego, CA.

What about mm?

Mazda?

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
To.
To who?
No, to whom.

Dammit!

Object of a preposition. You betcha.

Nope. Has to be objective case.

I believe JB knows that; that’s why he posted what he did–as a joke.

Cute. Actually, IME, few people do use “whom” incorrectly. It’s omitting it that seems far more common.

(On topic hijack) I’m on the West coast, so my answer for today is that he woke up (that’s my answer for every day, to be candid).

IME, most people who bother to use whom use the word incorrectly. Sadly, that includes my fellow English teachers.

They just don’t teach much subject/object case anymore. I mean, it’s not rocket surgery.

Yeah. And it’s not like Tagalog which has both nominative/accusative and ergative/absolutive alignments.
