Once again, getting away with it is a good thing to his followers. If crotch grabbing, rape, badmouthing vererans etc. doesn’t make a dent, what makes you think this recent escapade will make a dent?
And once again, his followers don’t mean shit. If he can’t convince non-followers, he loses.
You think this is going to make Republicans nervous? There aren’t even rumors at this point of any Republicans even considering removing their lips from his ass.
Republicans = Trump and others up for reelection. Republicans <> people who vote for Republicans.
The victims will be given a choice of this or electrocution by boat battery.
Actually, I’d expect him to auction off the opportunity. Highest twelve* bids win.
* Or 100. Or 1,000. Or whatever he feels the market will bear.
At what point can Trump be arrested for inciting violence?
It is a felony under federal law to engage in stalking, defined as a course of conduct conducted
online, through the mail, or traveling across state lines, which would put a person in reasonable
fear of death or serious bodily injury or cause substantial emotional distress, when done with
the intent to kill, injure, harass, intimidate, or surveil that person. 18 U.S.C. § 2261A.
LOL, no, riling up a crowd of people to storm Congress isn’t “stalking”.
It’s potentially a criminal act but not that crime.
If Trump traveled to DC to hide in Nancy Pelosi’s coat closet and slip her death threats, now you’re getting closer.
This news here is really pissing me off. (The link goes to Yahoo.)
An attorney for former President Trump suggested the so-called “fake electors” scheme qualifies as an “official act,” which would prevent it from being prosecuted under the recent Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity.
So, there you have it, folks. An attempt to overthrow the government is not illegal if you’re the president. Of course the current SCOTUS will rule thus.
My gut says no. I think they are less angling to personally protect Trump and are more trying to make it easier in general to bribe and otherwise line the pockets of people (particularly themselves).
I don’t think SCOTUS is out to help Trump, necessarily, I think they want to help themselves. They’re corrupt scumbags but they’re self-serving corrupt scumbags.
And of course their conservative think tank masters want a powerful tool in the future to help them get away with shit. Still, maybe not Trump.
Though I could see Clarence Thomas trying to ensure the false electors thing is immune to prosecution if it means keeping his wife (and himself!) out of legal jeopardy. I don’t know if there’s any chance of that but maybe.
Yeah. The old joke acronym for the court now has a new meaning.
SCROTUS = Supreme Court (Republican) of the United States
Um…never?
Agree. It’s not gonna happen. But I still cheer Jack Smith on. Best of luck.
Trump sent hundreds to the hospital, and hundreds of others to prison, ruining their and their families lives. And of course killed a few people.
The man is destruction. Even when he tries to accomplish things, it ends up in utter failure.
This my friends, is an narcissistic ego-maniac sociopath on the lose. And he has SCOTUS behind him. One because he wants free vactions, and another because he wants a theocracy.
By “a few people”, you mean “more than a million”, right?
He wants a theocracy with him as the deity being worshiped.
By the way, it’s bad enough he’s gotten the SCOTUS to urinate on the constitution just like he did, now he’s pissing on Independence Day. (Link goes to John Collins on Xitter.)
Pssssst Pretty sure enipla is alluding to Thomas and Alito, there.
Hah! The funny, in a very sad way, is that the response works for enipla’s intended meaning and mine. Good Lord! How has the country reached this point?
“He just quit, you know—he’s quitting the race,” Trump says, sitting in a golf cart. “I got him out of the—and that means we have Kamala.”
But, of course, he’s still praising one of his favorite dictators. (Same link as above.)
Later in the clip, he fawns over Chinese President Xi Jinping, calling him “a fierce man, very tough guy” whom Biden may be unable to handle.
So let’s see if I got this straight.
Trump complained that his compulsory attendance at court during his hush money trial was election interference because it interfered with his campaigning. But somehow, playing golf when he lost so much campaigning time in court, isn’t interfering with his campaigning?
Trumpian logic. It makes as much sense as a game of Calvinball.
Calvinball does make sense.

Hah! The funny, in a very sad way, is that the response works for enipla’s intended meaning and mine. Good Lord! How has the country reached this point?
Yeah. But I was referring to Alito. Works both ways. Trump would be happy with a straight up dictatorship. Monarchy works for him too, but he doesn’t give a rats ass about his kids stepping in after he’s dead.
But, it is true that for ‘reasons’ he thinks he should be worshipped.

By “a few people”, you mean “more than a million”, right?
Yeah, but I’d only give him credit for a ‘few’ hundred thousand. While these people where idiots for listening to Trump, you shouldn’t need to die because you followed a fool.
