Just in case people think Maus_Magill is making a joke, a Trump cultist friend on FB has informed me a few times that Biden died a while ago, and ‘Biden’ is an imposter to keep up the illusion that he didn’t. She’s serious.
Curious Johnny_LA. How do you handle this? Ignore it? Explain again and again how they are wrong? What?
We now have 6 full time people living on our road. All DINKS. Had everyone over for dinner the other night, so they could meet the current 4 of us.
I think they are Trump supporters. You pick up signs. I’ll do my best to ignore it I think. I may see them twice a year.
I hate asking, but what’s a DINK? I can usually figure out acronyms eventually, it’s like a game to me, but this one has been eluding me for a while.
Double income, no kids.
One of the few I know.
Explain how she is wrong. Then explain that she’s in a cult. Then become more snarky until she posts something like ‘It will all be over soon!’ complete with praying hands, trophy, and American flag emojis. Then I ignore it until other friends comment.
Thanks. Now I can sleep at night.
Does that ever really help; does telling someone they’re in a cult help them start thinking for themselves, or does it just drive them more tightly into the cult?
I seem to recall Trump’s new VP candidate having something to say about how such people weren’t real Americans or something like that.
Of course it doesn’t. I don’t see how she could possibly be deeper into the cult, until she has a nice refreshing class of Flavor Aid.
(At least she agrees that Earth is spheroid instead of flat; though she thinks the Moon landing was a hoax.)
Sorry, shouldn’t have used that acronym.
But his VP disregarding, or really dissing people that don’t have kids really, really pisses me off. It’s just another misogynistic attack.
I’m a guy. Never wanted kids. My Wife does not want them either. We would not have married if we had different ideas on that.
This is the GOP Trump/Vance ticket. Attacking people that make well thought out intelligent decisions. Something that the MAGA’s are not capable of doing.
Sort of like dogs playing basketball. Except that rather than being a star player, he just takes a dump on the floor and bites the ref.
You know what else pisses me off? The amount it has cost taxpayers to protect the Trump Crime Family by the Secret Service. In Zero Fail, the excellent book about the Secret Service by Washington Post reporter Carol D. Leonnig, the author estimates that if the bill for Trumps first few months in office carried on at the same rate through his tenure, it would cost $600 million to protect them all. Of course, a nice piece of that action was paid to the Trump Org for everything from overpriced hotel rooms and golf cart rentals for SS agents. So what’s the bill now? Over a BILLION to protect these pigs?
These people need to get off the public dole and spend their own ill-gotten gains on security.
Kinda like pigeon chess?
What pisses me off more is that I don’t think that Trump wanted to become president. He was pissed off about losing his absolutely stupid The Apprentice TV Show.
So when he lost, he would create the anti Hillary show. It would put his face on TV again, it would be worse then FOX. But the dumb shit won.
So, as presidents are, he got put under a microscope. All his crimes examined. And the dumb shit kept committing very, very serious crimes. Treason in my mind.
So. What can he do? He must become president again to stay out of prison.
GO NY! You may be our only hope. And GO! Kamala.
I believe you’re right about Trump not particularly wanting to become President but figure he wanted to enhance his brand – kind of like “Oscar-nominated” for an actor. It would open up whole new avenues of grift for him – think how easy getting new business loans would be.
After he got elected, opening up whole new worlds he never dreamed he’d have access to, I can fully see why he’d run again. Add a couple healthy-sized sides of wanting to stay out of prison and believing in his own narrative, and it was inevitable.
I seriously think that not only did he expect to lose, he made plans that had that assumption. Hence why even prior to the election he declared that everything was rigged against him. That was the prep work. Then when he actually won, that screwed up his plans, but he charged ahead anyway with an “investigation” that would prove that he actually won the popular vote as well as the electoral vote, because he had to do something after all that preparation. (Of course, that investigation, if it even really occurred, found nothing and was quickly forgotten.)
Then in 2020 he was already prepared for the election fraud claims, except this time he actually did want to be elected, just to protect himself against all the indictments and lawsuits he knew would be forthcoming after his years under the microscope.
What a completely miserable piece of shit.
Methinks you give him waaaaaay too much credit for critical thought.
He’s much simpler of mind than that. It was “Losing the popular vote makes me a loser. But I’m not a loser. Therefore, evidence must be ‘found’ showing I’m not a loser”
He still thinks of the justice system as something he can game. He’s been right so far. And with his clearly declining mental faculties, it’s unlikely he’ll ever think differently, even if does face any true consequences for his actions.
He’s speaking at one of his rallies, and CNN is showing him speak.
There’s gotta be a Frasier rerun on some other channel …
I’ve been on a news hiatus since the so-called debate. I get all the news I need from here.
The best part of cutting out all news has been not seeing that ugly orange puss on the tee vee.
But I gotta ask: Is he still sporting the Kotex pad on his ear?
Ear-diaper.
