How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

My very cool and laid back intelligent nephew was sent to military school. I don’t know the specific reason, but I can guess.

He’s still a great laid back guy, He plays in a couple of bands. Keyboards. I consider him a good friend, not a nephew.

Military school would not be able to put decency in Trump. I bet it fired up his anger though.

For any interested in a deeper dive into Trump and his military school years …

Who’s shocked?

Seriously: who??

Okay. Got it. Thanks.

I can’t see Trump being able to handle four years at a service academy. If any plebe deserved hazing, it would be the bully Trump. And, service to your country is for suckers and losers in Trump’s view.

Trump found the perfect job to bully people. And he wants it back.

First line:

From a very young age, Donald Trump was taught there were only two kinds of people in this world: winners — or “killers” — and losers.

Reminds me of this scene in Better Call Saul where a young Jimmy McGill (who later rebrands himself as “Saul Goodman”) is scammed by a guy in a store, then taught about how life works:

Of course, Jimmy grows up to be a scam artist, corrupt lawyer, and eventually a straight-up criminal. So it makes sense that Trump had a similar lesson as a kid.

As a matter of fact, when I was in the eighth grade and was considering which high school I was going to a attend one of them was a Chicago-area military academy (can’t remember which one, but my foggy memory says it started with M).

The rally he just had in Greensboro, NC was pretty fecking offensive. Stirring up the lies about FEMA and how the current Whitehouse is mismanaging it, etc. Talking about the devastation and using heartfelt language about how he loves them, which he delivered in monotone while staring down at his written by someone else glurge. Perhaps it’s no worse than usual but I find it extra reprehensible.

From that link:

“The campaign has no interest in annoying or hurting anyone,” Ronald Coleman, an attorney for Trump,

Kamala Harris is Coming for your Cows!!

And not only that…

First they came for the cows…

Cow-ma-la.

Not a one-time thing? Sounds like he’s really milking it.

Love that. And it SHOULD get through to Trump voters, except it won’t: they’ll just loudly assert that nothing Trump is saying is made up.

I agree.

Point worth making–since Trump would love people to believe he went to a “service academy”: there are only five federal service academies, and they are all college level (producing commissioned officers in the US Armed Forces. Each Force has one of the five Academies).

“Military schools”–which Trump attended–are much less prestigious. They are, as some have mentioned in this thread, high schools. You don’t need a nomination from your Senator or Representative in order to get in (as you do for the Service Academies)—you just need parents interested enough in getting you out of your household to be willing to pay the tuition.
.
.

ETA: I see that Wikipedia uses the ‘service academy’ and ‘military academy’ terms fairly interchangeably. Point remains: the college-level five are hard to get into, and what Trump attended is NOT.

Especially for the rich kids whose parents are willing to pay the big bucks to “straighten them out.”

Talk about wasted money…

But Trump knows more about the military than even the generals. Just ask him.

It’s a classic example of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Trump famously denigrated McCain’s time as a POW. Just imagine how Trump would hold up as a POW in Vietnam. He’d be selling out everyone in the camp faster than he loses his train of thought.

Get this asshole out of our hair. We fucked up when we raised them.

Yes, if he remained conscious. It’s impossible to picture Trump, who apparently has never faced ANY inconvenience of any kind, coping with being in a tiger cage. I suspect he’d just check out mentally and never come back.

I very much Trump could walk around a standard city block. A tiger cage maybe a bit of a problem. So would be an uncomfortable chair.

To be fair, Trump did face STDs as his own personal Vietnam.
