How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

It’s a Gish gallop of grift.

“… and coming around the far turn… Corruption and Crime are neck and neck… Another Felony is coming up fast… and It Stinks is leading the pack by a nose…”

This is by design.

Can someone tell me what the “infamous Steve Bannon quote” is without me having to watch a video of him?

It doesn’t link to a video at least for me, but here is an excerpt.

His quote is like a compass that orients this crazy era of American politics. “The Democrats don’t matter,” Bannon told Lewis. “The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with shit.”

That’s the Bannon business model: Flood the zone. Stink up the joint. As Jonathan Rauch once said, citing Bannon’s infamous quote, “This is not about persuasion: This is about disorientation.”

Basically as said above its a Gish gallop of outrageous statements and actions all at once so the media can’t cover them all, resulting in just a general wave of fatigue that causes people to tune out.

And this is exactly what is happening! Who can keep up with the shit-storm? And not only are they overwhelming the media, more importantly they are overwhelming the legislative and judicial branches. Can checks and balances keep up? I don’t think so.

Interesting. This dovetails perfectly with Trump’s stated management strategy, which is to create chaos. I don’t have a cite, but he said this back before he ever became president the first time. He believes in creating chaos among his staff and everywhere else and believes that out of all the churning and fighting, the good stuff will rise to the top. A stupid person’s “understanding” of thesis → antithesis → synthesis.

Yes. Very interesting.

Cutting all Federal agencies off at the knees will certainly do that. Trump might find that his “I have enough money to survive all of this”, will run into trouble when money doesn’t mean shit when you don’ have any public services.

And a couple of hundred million people that are very, very angry at you.

Next up on the Congressional Agenda, for sale to any bidder, A Bill of Goods.

Just out of morbid curiosity, have any of the Executive Orders signed by Trump done anything to improve life for ordinary Americans? Every one I’ve heard about has involved Project 2025 type changes in government policies or, in some cases, violations of the Constitution.

Welcome back my friends, to the…

This so-called Medicaid outage was not an outage - it was a concerted SNAFU attempt drummed up to sow doubt and fear, and we’ll be seeing more and more of this leading up to the kind of Reichstag Fire event that many, here, have already been predicting.
Curious how long this “outage” (outrage) will last.

The outrage will last way past Donald Trump.

Here’s a whole new outrage for you – Diplomats being asked to either take a loyalty oath, or resign:

Have you, by any chance, seen another credible source or two that corroborates this?

The Daily Kos effectively presents it as an unvetted Op-Ed piece.

That gets my attention.

Nope – it appears to be someone commenting on a personal e-mail. But it’s only a couple of hours old. Anything I check on about “loyalty oaths” to Trump is considerably older.

Give it time.

  1. Do diplomats pledge an oath when they take the office?
  2. Would it be unconstitutional to require any member of government to take a loyalty oath to any individual? Seems like it shouldn’t be.

Sort of related to the above, from the AP on January 20:

Well, this should help our national security interests and diplomatic relations abroad. NOT.

And a bit more … leading me to conjecture that parts of the Daily Kos post are true, but not necessarily the assemblage of those parts:
