I read this and remembered something and I thumbed through my digital copy of “Melania and Me”, Stephanie Wolkoff Winston’s ass-covering account of her work with the totally corrupt Presidential Inauguration Committee in 2016 - 2017, Melania and Me
Herve Pierre was the designer that Melania selected for her ball gowns, he started working without discussing money and, IIRC, Melania stiffed him because she’s entitled and think people should work for her for free.
I wonder if that’s what the payments were really for.
And Stephanie Wolkoff Winston worked for Melania for free, too………after getting paid an exorbitant amount for her two months working on the Inauguration. This was also a totally illegal arrangement IMHP, in effect they paid her in advance with donor money, and I doubt she would’ve been 6 months in DC on her own dime if she hadn’t just made a half million for two months work. And that’s her own ass-covering estimate of her profits, the reality was probably higher.
I don’t know, but someone does. And I despair of any action on the many calls–over more than five years!–to nail down, in law, what Presidents can and cannot do.
Granted, keeping elections safe is a higher priority.
But the ‘grifters can do as they please with the Presidency’ situation that still obtains is very, very hard to accept.
The grift that keeps on grifting.
Yet, instead of court documents being filed, Trump appears to be more preoccupied with begging followers to send in money to “support” the so far non-existent legal action.
“I’m calling on my best and most dedicated supporters to add their names to stand with me in my impending LAWSUIT against Fake News CNN,” a new fundraising email sent out from the ex-president on Friday said.
“Add your name IMMEDIATELY to show your support for my upcoming lawsuit against Fake News CNN,” the message declared, linking to a donations page.
His supporters will never wise up. IF (a big if) this lawsuit is ever filed, it will most likely be thrown out. Like the 60 lawsuits about the election fraud where thrown out.

Over half the country knows he’s a liar. If he’s so confused to actually believe his own lies, tough shit. There are people that deal with delusional behavior that won’t end. Their names usually end with the letters PHD. Or lets go the other route, their names end with the letters DA.

I’m reminded of a scene from the Jim Carry movie ‘Liar Liar’ Jim plays a lawyer that cannot lie. He gets a call from a client that got in trouble again. His client wanted advice. Jim’s advice was simple “STOP BREAKING THE LAW ASSHOLE, that’s my advice”.
Individual 1 is suing Hillary claiming she lied about Russia’s involvement in his campaign. When the court told him that the statute of limitations had passed, he said that he was just too busy as President to file a suit.
Well, it’s hard work, tearing down a government.
I wonder how that judge views golfing and non-stop tweeting.
If I was the judge, I’d tell him that “executive time” sitting on the shitter and tweeting nonsense did not count.

Bad as Trump was, an energetic tyrant-wannabe with an attention span greater than a hummingbird would be even worse.

My guess is that CNN would file a SLAPP suit against Trump if this does go forward (it won’t). If it did go forward what is the standard that Trump would have to prove? Does he have to show proof that he wasn’t lying? If so this could be the big moment that Mike Lindell has been waiting for.
There won’t be a lawsuit. He’s just using it to fundraise. “Please send me money so I can sue CNN.”
I thought that the RNC was still paying the Mango Mussolini’s legal fees.
So Trump is, unsurprisingly, double-dipping. And the RNC does sound like a division of the GOP, not that one, I’m talking about the Government Of Putin.
