Trump says Melania loves her son.
Not ‘Barron’ or ‘our son’, but [my emphasis]:
Donald Trump went on to say that Melania Trump loves her son, " … probably more than anybody – including me. I hate to say it, but, she loves her son. She loves children." Barron Trump, of course, isn’t a child anymore; he’s 19 years old and in college at NYU. It has been clear for a while that Barron isn’t living up to his childhood nickname, “Mini Donald.” He has long seemed closer to his mom than to his dad. And, the fact that Donald referred to Barron repeatedly as Melania’s son paints a picture that Melania and Barron are very separated from Donald.
So Barron is living in New York, and attending university. That might reduce the thickness of his insulation, as I suspect most of the students at NYU lean liberal. And he is not in proximity to Donald.
Not by much, I suspect. The ultra-rich crowd tends not to mix with the hoi polloi. He’s not going to be hearing or experiencing anything he didn’t at the ultra-luxe schools he’s attended so far
Maybe he has a chance of being human.

Which goes to show you that this is all 100% performative. He doesn’t actually give a shit either way. It just depends on who is pulling his strings at the moment or pushing him in one direction or another.

Trump would rebrand the National Museum of African American History and Culture to the Museum of the Confederate Heroes without batting an eye.
Museum of the Future? That seems kind of challenging – though it might have interesting historical value, in the future, by showing how different the people of this era thought the future would look, compared to the contemporaneous reality that future viewers might be experiencing. Kind of like when we look at the future depicted in, say, the 1962 World’s Fair and say “geez.”
What I always find amusing is that every old depiction of the future, where our own present is the future, seems to have people casually flying. Jetpacks, personal flying cars, heck Back to the Future II had a hoverboard in the far future of 2015.
Even today, science fiction showing the future has people casually flying to get to places.
I don’t think people actually want to fly all that much in reality. It’s dangerous and not practical. Look at how bad air traffic controllers have it, now imagine they have to regulate crowds of individuals.
We are not going to ever be The Jetsons, sci-fi writers, sorry.

It’s not that I personally don’t want to fly and think it’s dangerous. I’m worried about drunk flying drivers crashing into my roof.
Those prognosticators were right about lots of flying everywhere-- but it’s drones that are flying, not people. Didn’t see those in the tea leaves.

Well, performative in the sense that he needs to perform tons of racism in order to keep The Base happy. Because if there’s no one calling their Congress people to say WE ADORE TRUMP DO WHATEVER HE WANTS OR YOU’LL PAY, then….those Congress people might well stop doing whatever Trump wants. They might even impeach him, troublesome little whiner that he is.

I would surely like to see Trump removed. He won’t see prison though I’m afraid. You don’t put children in prison. I would make an exception for him though.

This is weird, as neither my brother and I are religious at all, but 50 years ago we where laying some carpet. Had to cut it. If you screw that cut/measure up, it can be a bit of a deal.
I was hesitant, and he said “God hates a man that’s afraid to cut”. I was 14 years old.
