How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 2)

I’ve wondered from time to time why his ear healed perfectly with no cartilage damage but be that as it may,

  1. He was shot at
  2. but not by a deranged libtard
  3. Hi, Opal

That’s my questions as well. But at least one was killed here. Not that the GOP cares about that. But it does seem weird. I don’t think staged though.

The FBI didn’t release a lot of information about Thomas Crooks, the shooter. But from what journalists have put together, he had a history of mental illness leading to disruption (including a bomb threat he made while still a freshman in high school), and his mental health had been spiraling just before the incident. He researched a lot of targets, including Joe Biden, both the Republican and Democratic conventions, Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and the Princess of Wales. He settled on Trump, probably because he determined it was his best opportunity to assassinate someone (and he almost pulled it off). He also did a lot of research on previous assassinations and school shootings for ideas.

It doesn’t seem to me that there was a political motivation, he just wanted to kill a political figure. He was registered to vote as a Republican (though he reportedly only voted once) and also once donated to a liberal group trying to increase voter turnout. He was all over the place. Though he also had social media postings that were antisemitic and anti-immigration, so if you had to put him on the political spectrum, it’s probably safe to put him right-of-center, if not alt-right.

But yeah, it was mental illness and an obsession with political violence, not a particular political agenda that drove that attack, from what I’ve seen.

Yes, not staged. He was shot at, and was probably not grazed by the bullet at all, but hit by a ricocheting piece of the podium or something. He doesn’t have that much blood on his head immediately afterward, considering the fact that even a minor cut on the head can and will bleed profusely. It was a minor nick.

Hey, he picked the biggest target. Literaly.

He probably figured this would get him maximum media coverage.

JMHO but I don’t think he came remotely close to pulling it off.

Agreed. When I was a little kid, there was an asshole who lived across the street that liked to bully other kids, he was a huge troublemaker. He certainly bullied me (he was older and much larger than I was). Once he decided to throw a rock at me, and it hit the top of my head. It wasn’t a huge rock, and wasn’t a serious injury, but it bled profusely. Our bathtub looked like a murder scene until it clotted. It doesn’t take much for a head wound to bleed like crazy.

Heck, a tiny nick while I’m shaving, something shallow and very small, that can bleed quite a bit as well. It’s easy for a very minor nothing of an injury to look dramatic when it’s to the head.

He shot and killed someone right behind Trump. If his aim was better he would have killed him.

Now, I guess it depends on if “pulling it off” includes evading the consequences, or even surviving it. From that perspective I agree, his scheme was a suicide plan. I’m not completely sure he intended to survive though. I’m not sure if anyone even knows that.

Ha, a very similar thing happened to me, except I was the thrower. In first grade, a bully used to push me down to the ground every day and laugh at me. Finally one day after he pushed me down for the umpteenth time, I had had enough and sort of snapped with rage. It happened to be right as the class was going outside for recess, so it was just him and me left in the room. I was so angry I started chasing him around the desks, but he was too fast and easily avoided me, laughing at me the whole time. Then I saw a small round rock on somebody’s desk they had brought in for show and tell. I chucked it at him, not thinking it would get anywhere near him, since my aim was terrible, but it hit him squarely on the top of the head.

Next thing I know, he was bawling his eyes out and bleeding profusely from the top of his head, with the teacher, who had come back in, cleaning the blood out of his hair at a sink in the room. I was terrified I was going to be in a ton of trouble, but I never was. I think the teacher knew I was chronically bullied and never did anything further about it (those were different times, too).

Oh my yes. There WAS a very sharp corner on a kitchen cabinet that I took a rasp and sand paper to yesterday. Now it will be ‘ow’ not a bunch of blood everywhere.

For the record, facial and scalp wounds bleed profusely, ear lobes, not so much.

ETA: pinna, where the cartilage is, if you prefer.

It wasn’t Trump’s ear lobe.

It was the top of the ear. You can see it in this image.

It looks like a shallow scrape along the ear, what you’d get from a graze, whether it was a bullet or shrapnel.

His election campaign and his later administration have always been very coy about the injury, what kind of medical attention he received, and any recovery that he underwent afterward. I’m convinced that it’s because it was extremely minor and the truth badly undercuts his attempts at martyrdom and efforts to portray himself as a hero overcoming adversity.

It also explains why there is no clear damage afterward. Something like that would likely heal pretty quickly and with very little permanent scarring, certainly not enough to show up on a standard photograph. Literally just a flesh wound, and not a deep one at all.

I think the upper part of his ear probably has a minor scar.

There’s great scar make up now days. Hides all sorts of boo boos.

I don’t know why his handlers are not having it applied to his bruising. It could help.

IIRC he was in such agony he was concerned about his shoe that had come off.

Slightly better angle:

You said it.

(I will never put myself through watching the Melania doco—I’ve done nothing to deserve that. But I am somewhat curious as to how much of the running time depicts Donald. For Bezos to feel his $75 million was well-spent, he’d have to please Donald—and I’m thinking that Donald wouldn’t be happy unless he’s on-screen maybe 80% of the time. Just a guess.)

And it’s obviously the most passionate romance of his entire life.

And unfortunately, Trump’s “Fight Fight Fight!” pose with his Secret Service agents immediately after the assassination attempt made him look like a total badass.

He probably won the election with that visual alone.

Trump now kidnapping people from Scotland.

Motherfucker is going to start World War 3 if we don’t impeach him.

For the first part, now I can’t get,

“Do you take this mushroom, to have and to hold, as long as you shall live ?”

out of my head.

As for the movie, “Melania” it’s coming out that it was a bribe and a scam.
