How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 2)

Dollars to Doughnuts, Trump keeps every dime. Saying HE was the most abused by Biden. And that’s what the ‘fund’ is for.

Oh, I’m sure the fund will go to them…less the totally necessary and hefty ‘administrative’ costs that will somehow find their way into some sort of offshore account

He measures his worth in wealth (and I suppose how many grifting schemes he can pull off).

So Trump dropped his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS (for not doing enough to prevent an IRS contractor from leaking his tax returns to the New York Times). That’s despite the fact that the IRS is probably not responsible for the contractor’s actions, that he may have filed his suit too late and that there’s a question whether there is enough separation between Trump, the one suing the government, and Trump, the president who has authority over the Justice Department. In short, he probably would have lost the lawsuit. So in exchange, the Justice Department gives him this giant slush fund.

of taxpayer dollars.

And also declares that the previous administration is the one that prosecuted cases for political retribution.

If I wasn’t seeing it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t believe it.

Remember it the next time you hear a Republican complain about taxes.

Well, of course. Where else would the Justice Department have gotten the money?

“We’re giving you $1.7 billion of Trump Enterprises money.”

trump is openly, brazenly insider trading, buying stock in various companies before government deals are struck that cause the stock to shoot up. The level of corruption is just astonishing. trump has turned the office of the Presidency into his own personal cash factory.

I’m sure it’s all in the course of his duties as POTUS, and therefore he is immune to any legal consequences per the SCOTUS “we want a monarchy now” ruling.

I am a bit surprised I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere, including P&E. This isn’t exactly new, but Kash Patel is trying to criminally charge the Southern Poverty Law Center. He’s clearly doing so out of vengeance, because when Trump was first proposing that Patel be appointed as FBI director, they strongly condemned it. See below.

Patel’s political allegiance and financial ties to President Trump, his lack of professional
qualifications to lead the agency, his past statements threatening to “come after” perceived
opponents, and his associations with race-based extremists are disqualifying. We urge you to
reject his confirmation.

Back in October, Patel officially announced that the FBI would be cutting ties with the SPLC, because it is a “partisan smear machine”. It should surprise nobody that a bigoted administration would not like an organization that fights against bigotry.

The Hill: FBI cuts ties with Southern Poverty Law Center

“The Southern Poverty Law Center long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine. Their so-called ‘hate map’ has been used to defame mainstream Americans and even inspired violence. That disgraceful record makes them unfit for any FBI partnership,” Patel wrote Friday on the social platform X.

Last month, Patel took it a step further and got an indictment against the SPLC, alleging fraud and money laundering.

NPR: Southern Poverty Law Center indicted on federal fraud charges

A few days ago, Legal Eagle dissected this, and it’s pretty much bullshit, no shock. First of all, Patel straight-up lied about the indictment. He claimed that the SPLC was misleading donors by taking money from donors and using it to directly fund hate groups, including paying off the leaders of groups like the KKK. However, the indictment itself shows that to be bullshit; what Patel is talking about is how they pay off informants who infiltrate the organizations, steal documents and other info, and report back to the SPLC to expose those organizations. That information-gathering is explicitly what the SPLC does, and it doesn’t hide it at all. A lot of the other claims in the indictment just don’t properly follow the law; for example, claiming that something the SPLC does is “misleading” when the law states that the standard is for something to be “false”, which is very different. Or alleging that they set up a sole proprietorship to handle payments and never incorporating it, despite the fact that sole proprietorships are by their very nature not incorporated. Just a bunch of gish gallop BS. The video does a really good job of explaining it all, and I encourage watching it.

Anyway, I expect this to fail miserably in court, but not without dragging the SPLC through the mud and forcing them to waste money defending themselves in court. I hope that vindictive drunk asshole ends up having this boomerang back on him tenfold.

I saw them when they opened for String Cheese Incident.

Campaign ad:
Shot 1: Jan 6 rioter beating on a cop.
Shot 2: Reward check given that same Jan 6 rioter for beating on that cop.

I’m ambivalent about it. At this point, the people who’d get pissed off about that are already pissed off about a dozen other things. And the rest wouldn’t ever be caught watching any news source that would run such an ad.

But, sure, why not? Maybe it’ll convince a few more to stay home in November

See, to me, this is brilliant. I hope they have someone even half as smart.

Of course. The richer he is the less he has to worry about being taken care of in his dotage and the less he has to worry about that the more he can do the right thing for the country. Connect the dots!

Nevermind. I put this in the wrong place.

Just redo the Willie Horton ad from '88.

From the New York Times, “The Justice Department on Tuesday expanded the agreement it reached this week with President Trump to resolve his extraordinary lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service to include a provision that would bar the agency from pursuing tax claims against the president, his family or his businesses.”

What a great deal, for him at least.

I think it’s meaningless. That will probably only be honored for as long as he is running the IRS, and it’s not like he’d allow them to go after him anyway.

NBC managed to get a hold of one of Trump’s phones.

As expected, it features Trump’s name and a lot of gold as its decoration. And an American flag…

…which has eleven stripes.

That’s right they managed to screw up the American flag.

But my dearest old bean … you do need to keep up.
You are thinking fondly of your American flag. Vale.
That image is HIS American flag.
