Trump is too stupid to realize that as long as he is POTUS, he is only as strong as the nation, and much of the nation’s strength comes from the alliances it fosters. When he fucks that all up like a rabid monkey with a baseball bat, because he thinks “I AM THE ALL POWERFUL GOD-KING TRUMP”, he suddenly finds his power has diminished significantly. Poor widdle baby.
We’ve been saying it around here for at least the last decade - he believes in ‘will to power’ and the ‘power of positive thinking’ literally, not figuratively. He truly believes if he repeats something enough and believes in it enough, it will become the actual truth. And we’ve given him scant reason until recently (when he’s declined so far mentally that it won’t register) to ever doubt that.
I don’t think he has the concentration to believe in anything for long. Therefor, anything he thinks is the truth.
