How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 2)

The Democratic Republic of Idaho

You stole my only joke!

Tarps have now been hung over the scaffolding. Why would you need to hide repairs? I noticed that the live cam was disabled a couple days ago, too. He doesn’t want anyone to see what he is doing.

David Hearn pleaded Not Guilty today in a Washington courtroom.

Hearn has previously claimed, which his attorneys repeated during a short press conference outside the court, that he simply touched the water in the pool out of curiosity last month.

Also

The government attempted, unsuccessfully, to bar Hearn from the reflecting pool while the case continues.

Because, you know, he’s obviously a potential repeat offender and will return to the scene of the crime.

My understanding is that the reflecting pool is now fenced off. It wasn’t before Trump started this whole mess by paying (actually overpaying) someone to paint it blue. So during the Independence Day weekend (the 250th Independence Day weekend), a big chunk of the National Mall was inaccessible. That’s wrong. We would have been better off had Trump done nothing. And of course, once the concrete in the pool is painted once, it’s got to be repainted periodically from then on. Again, it would have been better to leave it unpainted.

That’s like how he tore down the East Wing of the White House without getting the plan to build the replacement structure organized.

I’m sure his response to that would be, “Why the fuck would I go anywhere near it after all of this?!”

It’s not “paint”, it’s Rhino Lining’s Rhino 406 Epoxy under Rhino Pipe Liner 5000 PW Resin a structural, spray-applied, polyurea that was supposed to be applied 100 mils (0.1 inches/2.54 millimeters) thick.

Here’s someone that’s done all the research for us,

Organizing things is for losers. Much better to go with what his Very Good Brain™* tells him, never mind that what it’s telling him changes from moment to moment.

* Or Very Good Gut

This particular sentence of yours applies to much, much more than the Reflecting Pool.

Absolutely. The war with Iran comes to mind. They never knew the power of closing the Strait of Hormuz but they do now.

I bailed out pretty early in the video after all of the disclaimers of not being an expert and not knowing all the facts.

I mean, I give a lot of respect to the YouTuber for being open and honest, and not claiming false authority. He seems very credible and has integrity. But 13 minutes of speculation and guesswork isn’t particularly interesting.

We probably won’t have any more than that anyway until Trump is out of there and someone can actually get ahold of the records after his tiny hands can no longer cover them up.

Records? They’re going in the shredder, if not the toilet.

I don’t trust that Trump or his people are competent enough to cover it up properly. They probably won’t even bother to try. Why should they?

Heck, we have mounds of evidence of his wrongdoings. The only problem is that he could never be prosecuted for it, thanks to corruption and an unwillingness to risk “bad optics” in doing so. He left piles of incriminating shit sitting around his house, he even showed it off to people.

Hear, hear! This statement is universally applicable. In fact, if trump had gone into a coma and remained that way throughout his presidency to this very minute, the country would be 100% better off.

That’s a short term fix which doesn’t address the long term malaise. Trump doing nothing was in essence his first term. The collective “youse guys” were still inspired to double down.

The underlying elements that made 45/47 possible and maintain his approval polling persist. If it isn’t 45/47 it might be a more insidious, rapacious political reptile, like the one you have sitting over there in the VP’s office.

“Let all of the poisons that lurk in the mud, hatch out.”

This weeping, festering, expensive, degrading sore needs to be cauterised. And being the US, it will need to be done via US means and in US timescale. So strap yourselves in, this could get ugly and take a while.

Once healed the lessons should be sufficiently traumatic that the next charlatan offering simple, home spun neo-national solutions to complex sociopolitical issues gets tarred, feathered and thrown back with ignominy into the swamp whence they emerged.

You don’t get the easy escape valve of a Count Binface.

That’s his property developer strategy. If a property developer wants to demolish and redevelop something and is likely to hit opposition, they demolish immediately if they can get away with it. That way something has to be redeveloped.

If he hadn’t demolished immediately the current argument would be over whether he could touch the East Wing at all, instead of what is going to be built there now.

The tricks of the trade of being an asshole property developer are one of Trump’s few actual competencies unfortunately.

I suppose “wreck shit fast” is a sort of competency

Most of us seem to lose that particular skill after infancy, though

I am SO looking forward to the East Wing being restored.

I’m looking forward to pics/vids of all of the the destruction Trump has caused. It needs to be put up right in front of everyone. Daily.

The cost of the repairs/rebuilding should also be shown. And analysis made of just how much his BS has cost everyone in the country. Including his tariffs. WE are paying for this mess.

Congress and SCOTUS also need to be taken to task for not stopping this lunatic.

It will happen right after the Easter Bunny comes down the chimney with your Christmas presents, having delivered them with help from his team of flying donkeys and pigs. As hell freezes over.
