It’s hard to tell because he’s barely coherent at the best of times but it seems like he was suggesting he and his construction crew rushed to the scene after the planes hit, presumably to be heroic or something, and he had to be physically pulled away due to the impending collapse of the buildings

Near as I can tell, he’s claiming he led a crew of his workers into the area on the 12th or 13th to help. That is of course bullshit, because his workers were all office guys - AFAICT he never functioned as a general contractor, which might have given him access to cleanup workers (as opposed to Dave from Accounting).
According to him, he was building some structure in Manhattan, close enough to walk to Ground Zero, and he rounded up a crew of hard hats to dash to the rescue. Put himself in harm’s way, he did.
I’m hoping that some reporter can confirm that there was no such crew anywhere near there, if there was such a crew working on a Trump project anywhere at all that day.
Photo evidence of how he spent his day on 9/11 is even better. What difference will it make? Probably none. But what the hell, let’s keep fighting the good fight regardless.

i am no fan of Bush, and I don’t know if the reality of the situation sunk in while he was reading “The Pet Goat” to a bunch of kids in a classroom, but he was at the very least calm, collected and presidential once he did make public comments.
