How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 2)

No, it’s not.

It’s just one more way of displaying a pathetic level of insecurity and self-centeredness that screams at the whole world, “No one can tell me what to do.”

Except Putin.

The thing he did/said yesterday was worse than the thing he did/said today, while today’s thing was much worse than yesterday’s thing. Everything is worse than everything else. It is a malestrom of awful.

Totally agree. He keeps surpassing himself-- in a negative direction.

He also thinks that Kashmir has been a problem for 1500 years, according to his answer to a reporter on AF-1. Willfully stupid and uninformed on anything other than himself.

Someone posted this on Bluesky:

Subpassing sounds apt.

Do other countries routinely allow American felons to cross their borders? If they’re making an exception, why? Is there a process for doing so? Shouldn’t countries warn their citizens when a sex offender is among them? They have a duty to protect their own people, after all.

Awesome!

Trump sat down for an interview with Time Magazine the other day. A couple highlights:

On his repeated campaign vow to end the Ukraine war on day1:

“Well, I said that figuratively, and I said that as an exaggeration, because to make a point, and you know, it gets, of course, by the fake news [unintelligible],” Trump told Time when asked about the campaign promise. “Obviously, people know that when I said that, it was said in jest, but it was also said that it will be ended.”

“Clearly I said it in jest, but at the same time I meant it. I mean, I meant the ending part, not the timing part. What part of my figurative exaggerations and ‘jests’ are so hard for you fake news radical liberals to understand?”

On his justification for pardoning 1500 J6 rioters:

“People do heinous acts, far more serious than what took place on Jan. 6,” he told Time. “And nothing happened to these people. Nothing. …”

Ok, so let’s unpack the logic there. Other people have done things even worse than the J6 rioters and gotten away with it, so they should go free too. My neighbor committed murder and got away with it, so I should get a free pass for robbing a bank.

But I have to give trump some credit here. He is right that other people have gotten away with worse. In fact, I can think of one very high-profile public figure who’s committed many more heinous and illegal acts. In fact he’s even been convicted of numerous felonies. And nothing happened to him. Nothing.

Um. It’s the Vatican?

The Vatican has an airport? Actually, I’m not sure what you’re getting at.

They don’t have the best reputation for taking a strong stance against sexual abuse(rs).

Oh, right.

I am curious though about the laws in other countries and whether or not Trump has to get a waiver. If I wasn’t so pathetically lazy I’d open a Factual Questions thread.

He means I expected you to believe that I was going to do if at the time I said it, not 6 months later when didn’t actually do it.

Well … here’s – of all things – a NY Post article on the subject (June 2024):

As a practical matter, I doubt he’d have much difficulty in too many countries. His predatory, retributive, and punitive history probably militates against it.

Would that it were …

Does The Alamo have a basement??

I saw this today in a documentary I watched about the Pope.

Got to love this impeccable logic.

Really, Trump’s just saying “no”. Which is obviously true.

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.
