There’s actually a third way that this is stupid, because what Trump posted was “This is Biden’s Stock Market, not Trump’s”. But of course the main negative data today was the quarterly economics report, not the markets (which, AIUI, recovered early losses and basically had already priced in this data).

So Thanks, Joe Biden!, for a relatively calm stockmarket. That’s…somehow…responsible for the GDP contraction.

Brain might not go boom for those trained in Trumpism; they can easily believe two contradictory things at the same time.

So given Trump’s support of the Declaration of Independence as a document of “unity and love”, I decided to go back and read it to see how his supporters are planning to spin this ( for example, unity among the colonies).

Here is some of what I found:

This is just some of what I found. It almost seems like we need a Declaration of Independence from Trump.

It’s like when Democrats were being blamed for creating hurricanes, and the point was made: If they have god-like powers over even the weather, that’s a pretty good reason to vote for them.

During his first term, NPR read the Declaration on July 4th (as they always do), and got a lot of complaints about how they were criticizing Trump.

RFK Jr. sounds like a dangerous, dangerous person who’ll cause the United States to revert to the way it was during the 1950’s and before, by cutting down on the requirements for vaccines such measles, polio, Covid-19, and other vaccines that have pretty much wiped the above-mentioned illnesses , as well as many others. RFK Jr. is a scary, scary guy!

Why won’t President Donald Trump stop talking about his predecessor?

A new analysis from NBC News shows that Trump has spoken about former President Joe Biden, his family or his administration 580 times in public remarks or on social media posts since he took office. NBC noted that the number averages out to about six times for every day of Trump’s presidency.

In comparison, NBC News reported that Biden invoked Trump just 29 times during the first 100 days of his presidency.

MSNBC political contributor Steve Benen wrote on Monday: “The idea of ‘Biden Derangement Syndrome’ never really caught on as a phenomenon during Biden’s term, but to the extent that the ailment exists, there’s reason to believe his successor has contracted a virulent strain, which has gone completely untreated.”

I’m guessing there won’t be a vaccine for BDS.
