Congress, and the Cabinet, too, are made up of VERY self-interested individuals. Their “loyalty” to Donald will end the moment they start to be certain that he will drag them down from their current positions. I don’t think he can or would be willing to pay them enough to leave him in place, if they become fearful enough.
Last night I was channel surfing and turned to CNN just in time to hear the host say “but that’s the world we live in now” before it went to commercial. I was wondering what the story had been that led to that but realized it could have been absolutely anything in the world we live in now.

One measure of the progress of American society is that anti-Catholicism is much diminished from what it was in 1960.
