My wife just said, ‘Well I guess we can’t use the cats’ water fountain anymore. We can’t get the filters.’
She ordered a year’s worth of filters in an effort to get ahead of the Trump Tax. Too late.

How much more expensive are they?
It may ultimately not even be a matter of expense. Some products may just become unobtainable.
Hope you are not a fan of Persian rugs.
Well, shit. We lost one in The Flood.
She didn’t say. It seems that they just can’t be delivered.
But, I looked (just now, as I was typing this response), and found a dozen Smartoo filters for $20 with free delivery between 17:00 and 20:00 today. I ordered them
Sorry, it doesn’t. Vince Vance and the Valiants.
Was considering a grant application yesterday through DOJ. The grant was for Engaging Men and Boys to Prevent Domestic and Sexual Violence. Seemed largely be a Prevention Education grant. We have a significant Prevention Education arm at our org.
The application calls for a description of the program but forbids any programs that treat rape and domestic violence as systemic or social justice issues, and cannot in any way address gender ideology, sexism, toxic masculinity, or basically anything that causes domestic and sexual violence.
I don’t even know what can be done that doesn’t involve teaching about those things. How do you prevent rape without talking about what causes rape?
Fuck this administration.
Simply, rape is caused by women saying no.
/bitter, hopeless, sarcasm.
The same way you prevent COVID by not collecting stats on how many people (don’t) have it – bend the universe to your will.
That is an unfairly simplistic way of characterizing how this administration looks at rape, and I am offended.
Sometimes it’s also the way a woman chooses to dress that causes rape.
(Seriously, fuck this damn administration.)
Just say “don’t rape.” That should be effective.
It’s the Dora the Explorer approach: “Rapist, no raping!”
Also, “don’t ever hit your partner, that’s not ok.”
But what about “correcting” your partner or “disciplining” them? A’ok?
ETA: For the sake of all that is still unsullied in this world, seriously fuck those guys
This shit will always piss me off. It’s a great example of how he continually indoctrinates his fans with his lies. They will all believe he got these people fired for lying about the perfect thing he did. See also:
Everything he does is PERFECT and anyone who disagrees must be punished. And the fans nod along.
When it can no longer be denied that the B2 mission’s results were nugatory, and since one of the pilots was a woman, stand by for the blame to fall on Biden’s DEI.
(word for today: “nugatory”)
It wasn’t that he said or did anything (what he said and did today is merely more of the same. The stupid stupid same.)
It’s the realization that NO MATTER WHAT, we’ll only stop hearing about him some time after he dies. It’s been established that when he loses, he just continues to be annoyingly in the public view…outside a jailcell.
Eh, he will probably never totally go away. We still talk about the likes of Nero, Caligula, and Benedict Arnold (not to mention Hitler). Some people end up being cautionary tales and you really should never totally forget them, as much as you’d like to.
At this point, I just want to outlive the bastard.
