Decent episode, but I loved the first one and this one wasn’t as good. Too little Neil Patrick Harris I say! But the 3 parties was amusing and the woman that plays Robyn is SMOKING!
But… and this needs to be reiterated… MORE NEIL PATRICK HARRIS! Barney is by far the best character on the show.
Well, it mostly took place in the apartment, right? I missed the first few minutes, but didn’t they only go to the bar at the very end, as a group? Wouldn’t really be a “suit up” moment, IMO. I’m sure it will return.
I completely agree about Neil Patrick Harris: I’m totally loving him as a shallow womanizer!
What I like, though, is that he’s worse when the girl isn’t around: I hate shows where the guy is normal until the woman shows up, but she thinks his dorkiness/desperation is “cute.” Ted has had his dorky moments with Robin, but he’s also had enough charming moments that I buy her attraction to him.
I do enjoy Saget as the narrator, but I HATE the scenes with his children. Are they going to play pissed off and bored all season long, or are they actually going to go somewhere with them, because if its the former, its just a waste of time that could be better spent with more NPH!
It’s so nice to FINALLY see a new traditonal sitcom that’s actually funny. There hasn’t been one on the air since the second to last season of Seinfeld…something just happened in 1997, and all formerly good sitcoms went poof, and all new ones have been crap since.
As long as they have Allyson Hannigan mention she’s not wearing underwear every couple of weeks, I’ll probably keep watching. I’m shallow that way.
Did anyone else catch the mention of “Uncle Barney” in one of the “talking to the kids” scenes? I wonder where that (and “Aunt Robin” will lead?[ul]

This and “My name is Earl” are shaping up to be staples on my DVR series recording list. And “Have you met Ted?” looks like a fun game, I guess I’ll have to befriend somebody named Ted.
EVERY moment is a ‘Suit Up’ moment ;). Especially with a party involved. Ok, so maybe I love that line a little toooo much ;).
It definetly has been something to think about. I’m basically looking at it as close friends of the family are called ‘Uncle’ or ‘Aunt’, though I wouldn’t be surprised if blood relation occurs somewhere down the road.
