None. There have been plenty of cases where the narrator has said things that could only be Ted.
Did anyone notice Lily’s continued deviousness - she apologized for manipulating Karen and Ted into breaking up, and to make it up to them, she cooked a dinner that Karen would have hated (Beef Pot Pie, Mac & Cheese, etc.). Subtle.
How bourgeois.
I missed that. Very nice. As much as I lvoe this show, I have to think that it wouldn’t have lasted half a season if Neil Patrick Harris wasn’t on it. He absolutely carries the show. Even little things, like agreeing with Robin in the opening scene while the others are disagreeing with her, steal every scene he’s in.
Thanks.
true story
My DVR didn’t catch it because they shifted the time for the new episode and ran a re-run in the usual slot. Did just watch it at www.cbs.com
Decent, not great. Subplot about Robin was more interesting than the main plot.
True - but Barney must be used wisely. Remember the lesson of The Fonz. “Ritchie and His Cool Friend Fonzie” was a much more interesting show than “The Cool Adventures of Fonzie”.
Likewise, “Ted and his Awesome Friend Barney” is a much better show than “The Awesome Adventures of Barney” would ever be.
Absolutely. The worst thing an over the top sidekick can do is to be spun into his own show.
Can you imagine “The Misadventures of Kramer”?
I can’t have been the only one here who actually looked up www.canadiansexacts.org, right? Alan Thicke helps out on the joke.
I was coming here just to mention the sex acts site and was only beat by 4+ hours. I love that almost everything they mention in the show they spend the time to create everything from Barney’s blog to the Robin Sparkles videos, even the slap bet countdown for Slapsgiving.
Strangely enough, www (dot) canadiansexacts (dot) com doesn’t seem to be taken. Still, I’ve broken the potential link for the safety of future generations of Dopers surfing from work.
