I broke my shoulder, (head of the humorous) and broke a few blood vessels as well. It tracked down to my elbow and pooled there. Yellow and purple…beautiful.
I USED to get alot of bruises… and headaches.
One time I counted 19 bruises on my legs. Not a pretty sight.
Then I figured out WHY I was bruising so much.
Asprin.
It thins the blood, makig bruising easier.
I was taking Excedrin for my headaches ( which contains
aspirin )
Once I weaned myself off the excedrin ( rebound headaches )
bruises are rare for me now.
I feel your pain, sister. I also bruise readily and keep 'em around for ages.

That’s where my current big one is too. I actually know where I got that one, banging against a dresser whilst racing to prevent the dog from chewing on some forbidden substance, but usually I have no idea how I get them, and I generally have anywhere from 5 to 15 at any one time.
Last night I found two more bruises. Big juicy yellow ones.
And the ones that appeared during the night were from an hour or so before when I was falling on the pavement and sliding through the rails of a banister.
I’ve got 5 or 6 on my thighs from my daughter standing on me. She’s almost one and can’t stand to be held still so she’s constantly trying to climb up my body and escape.
Mine stay around forever too. Someone told me to rub them a couple times a day to help break up the clot and it seems to help- now they lighten up pretty quickly and disappear in about four days.
